I REALLY REALLY feel for Oti...

After Natalie fell at the final hurdle in 2009 with Ricky they gave her Scott the following year so it's possible she'll get a contender next year. Saying that TPTB will really want a female celebrity winner after two male celebrity winners in a row.

But saying that, Oti has another chance of winning the show. Danny doesn't.

Oti was absolutely amazing. Everything about her. She was my absolute favourite thing about this series.

And so did I Sid.

Because it was.

Samba was good though.

Danny will be bloody FINE after this. He's showcased himself very well. And he will have a lot of support and be remembered.

Don't fear for him.

In the sense of not having won?

It was in your opinion you mean ...subjective, not fact

Thought his Samba was too frenetic, as well. And I always think it smacks of desperation when the bare chest comes out.

She is better than this show and is leaving to do the american version: dancing with the stars next year. She is a brilliant pro and will be missed by all of her UK fans.

This is what hurts ... she had someone this year who was able to do full justice to her amazing ... never dull ... choreography and we might not get that again

I would say Katya is my professional of the year as it is hard to do routines for people who can't dance whereas Oti had a partner who started off at a good standard

They really should have had an extra presentation for Oti as by far and away the best pro dancer this year....the show would have been so much duller without her amazing routines.
Unfortunately she couldn't win by herself and being attached to a "ringer" put voters off

I do slightly. I said why on another thread - I can't remember which one - Jay proved his popularity with the public and that helped him to headline a show. Danny hasn't proven his popularity so will producers take the risk, as a lead anyway.

You yourself said he was middle of the chorus rather than lead.

Yep. Maybe she will be snapped up by the DWTS US producers. I think that America will appreciate talent more.

Maybe she came across as the best pro dancer because she had the celeb with the highest skill level on day one with whom she could really dance? And maybe being attached to a ringer was good for her because she got to dance full on and straight into the final?

I adore Oti too and wanted her to get a ringer this year. I don't understand at all why people feel sorry for her.

Didn't know she was leaving, that's a shame, she's only done two years on Strictly.
I dispute that she is "better than this show". I think her style is more suited perhaps to DWTS, which from the clips I've seem of it seems more flashy, contemporary and less ballroom driven.
Each to their own but I prefer SCD. I will miss Oti though.

But he's made a name for himself with a broader audience. Georgia May Foote also didn't win and didn't win any of the tour dates, and she's got theatre work.

Do you think she will be going back to the German series after the tour?
She had a DREADFUL series last spring and may want a break after such a great Strictly with Danny.

Watch Danny & Oti's post-Samba ITT interview, there was a rationale behind the open shirt, and it wasn't desperation.

She's dancing with Danny on tour and that doesn't finish until late February, so she may well want a break then rather than doing the German version. Did her husband do the German version this year as well? Might depend on whether they both decide to concentrate on competing and/or teaching as well.

Source please - haven't heard anything about that before? If you don't have one then stop stating speculation as fact.

Loved Oti and hope she gets a good partner next year and not someone with experience in dance.

Just wondering. Would she have got Ore to the Final if she was paired with him?

She was lucky to get Danny who could deal with her advanced choreography from the start but that seems to have been a disadvantage at the end.

As the headline signing?

To be fair to Oti she did brilliantly choreographing around Anthony's non-working arm last year so I think she could adapt.

Her husband didn't do the German version this year, but did it the year before.
Oti and her husband were treated badly by the German show, so they might not return.

Oti was a real star. I hope she's back next year.
