Honestly, how many times must we be told by the judges it's the highest standard ever, by the contstants that Strictly changes your life and how great a show it is, and the public that their lives won't be the same anymore? My grandfather pointeed this out, and I couldn't unsee it for the rest of the show. I can't think of another program that indulges in so much self-praise. Faaar to much filler.

If you don't like self-adulation then Strictly is probably not the show for you.

Remember that if you go to the circus you don't want to be told that you're going to see the 'most mediocre show on earth'. Showmanship is part of the show.

It's the final of one of the biggest shows on UK TV. I think they're allowed some self adulation!

It's getting better and better.!4 years ago it was rubbish.Now it's 'Gene Kelly' standard,apparently.
