Not many comedians have done strictly have they? I agree with the person who said Olly Murs too. I think he'd be great on it. I swear Tyger Drew Honey's name is mentioned every year and he never does it. I think he'd be good. A good partner for Chloe perhaps as he's only 20. |

Katherine Ryan is a good shout, Jorf.
She'd either Tameka it, and prove too forceful a character for traditional voters, or be a surprise star turn. She'd be a nice, potentially challenging, candidate for Kevin. |

Aisling also mentioned the fact that she learned some ballroom informally when she was younger, and sometimes dances now. I'd love either of these ladies on the show! |

I think they'll be going for a female winner next year, although maybe not as obviously as they were in 2013.
For BBC presenters, Angela Scanlon has been doing a lot of work in the last year and she'll be covering Alex Jones on The One Show - I can imagine they'd ask her. It's been a while since they've had anyone from Casualty or Holby, and I can see a good few potential suspects from the current cast list. |

They always seem to go for the incumbent female One Show host, and Angela will have been hosting it for long enough by this time next year to have established herself. Plus, I think they always seem to include at least one Irish celeb in the cast. |

A potential wishlist (Ages as of December 2016)
Charlotte Henshaw-(29)- Parlympian Swimmer Dawn French (59)- Vicar of Dibley legend Sally Nugent (45)- Breakfast sports presenter Angela Scanlon (32)- Robot Wars co-host Rose Leslie (29)- Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey star Ellie Harrison (39)- Countryfile presenter Fearne Cotton (35)- TV Presenter and DJ Jay Rayner (50) Food critic Matt Cardle (33) Former X Factor Winner (and it would piss off Simon Cowell) Tyger Drew-Honey (20)- Outnumbered Actor Chris Lintott (36)- The Sky at Night Presenter Kevin Sinfield (36)- Rugby legend Garth Crooks (58)- BBC Football Pundit Paul McGann (57)- Former Doctor Who Leaving the 15th place free for the "token Eastender" role. I don't watch EE so won't try to suggest anyone. |

Has anyone else been thinking Olly Murs? He's made a few appearances this year, on the main show and ITT. I can see it.
Ellie Simmonds has popped up too, plus there was a recent story that producers are keen to sign her (could be conjecture though, I came to the same possible conclusion!) Who do we reckon from Eastenders? |

There's a great interview with the casting director, Vinnie Shergill, in today's Guardian.
She says they tried and failed to get Ed last year. They're also keen to branch out into a broader circle of walls and are planning to approach royalty and the clergy next year. They've already earmarked Communard turned C of E vicar Richard Coles, who was great value on Celeb Masterchef earlier this year. He's also tweeted to say he'd do it! |

Where would they find a pro who wasn't at least a foot taller than Ellie though?
I'm sure if there's any truth to this rumour about Ellie, then the producers have been inspired by Terra being on DWTS. |

I kind of like the idea that Strictly is going to get bolder with its casting choices. A gay dancing vicar is almost as good as the criminal barrister and shadow chancellor we had this year! |

Why has no one mentioned an obvious candidate for the wishlist:
Honey G, rapper, dancer and urban artist extraordinaire |

Said it before but I would not be surprised at all if an ex-footballer popped up next year. Been a while since we've had one and plenty have retired recently. Jermaine Jenas seems the obvious candidate - but could be one or two others. Woudn't be surprised either if one of Greg James or Graeme Swann or Dan Walker were to appear. All seem likely Strictly candidates. That said of course Strictly being "on Sunday" might be an issue for Dan. ![]() Quote:
Garth Crooks (58)- BBC Football Pundit
. ![]() He'd make Jason Donovan sound like Kevin Clifton after 5 packs of Haribo by comparison. ![]() Therefore, Strictly must sign up him up now. |

I would like to see...
Jake Humphrey - he'd be good with Natalie Lowe if she comes back Jenny Eclair - put her with Kevin to see if he can make it 5 Finals Su Pollard - purely to let people know that her and Jenny Eclair are not the same person Nigel Havers - he's still got it ![]() Robert Webb - another vote for him from me Jane Danson - Corrie's Leanne Battersby I think would be really good Nicky Campbell (from Radio and Long Lost Families Catherine Russell (Holby's Serena Campbell) - elegant & hilarious That'll do for now... |

I think it's a matter of when not if for Rufus.
He seems to be on the Friday panel at least once a series! |

I said this in one of the other threads on this same subject, but I'd like to see Guy Henry from Holby City/Casualty do Strictly. I sincerely doubt he would, but at 6'4" he'd be a good height to partner Natalie, and I've a feeling he's quite nimble on his feet so he could be a contender, which she hasn't really had since Ricky Whittle and Scott Maslen.
