I said this in one of the other threads on this same subject, but I'd like to see Guy Henry from Holby City/Casualty do Strictly.

I sincerely doubt he would, but at 6'4" he'd be a good height to partner Natalie, and I've a feeling he's quite nimble on his feet so he could be a contender, which she hasn't really had since Ricky Whittle and Scott Maslen.

What about Debra Stephenson? She was runner-up to Rufus Hound on Let's Dance for Sports Relief. Got the highest ever viewer vote in her earlier round.
If it's the Dragons Den lady she already completed in series eleven the year of the woman - she got knocked out pretty early and Robin Windsor whom she was partnered with got very emotional about it.

I would like to see a touch of international, like Meghan Trainor, and Anne Marie since I know her sister!

That was Deborah Meaden - Debra Stephenson is the impressionist

She also did the Christmas special one year with Ian Waite, but she was a bit miserable on it I think (unless that was Ronni Ancona - one of them didn't seem to enjoy it very much).

No that's Deborah Meaden. Debra Stephenson's a comedian and impressionist.

I thought it seemed unlikely - I'm getting old my memory's not what it used to be

Debra Stephenson did do a Christmas special, but it was Ronni Ancona, partnered with Anton, who was really miserable when she did it. Debra didn't win her special, but she did get equal top marks with Charlie Brooks from Eastenders. Ronni seemed to get in a huff because she was at the bottom of the leader board.

Tisha Merry, who plays Steph Britton in Coronation Street should go on the list.

Spoiler

Tisha is 5' 3''. She might have too much dance training though

Well they managed with Terra (a little person who is a reality TV star in the US) this past season on Dancing With the Stars - I think her partner was around 5'7 and she is 4'2.

I'm sure if there's any truth to this rumour about Ellie, then the producers have been inspired by Terra being on DWTS.
Indeed, and did very well getting to the semi-final!

There's a great interview with the casting director, Vinnie Shergill, in today's Guardian.

She says they tried and failed to get Ed last year. They're also keen to branch out into a broader circle of walls and are planning to approach royalty and the clergy next year. They've already earmarked Communard turned C of E vicar Richard Coles, who was great value on Celeb Masterchef earlier this year.

He's also tweeted to say he'd do it!
I might have said Zara Tindall, but she'll only be about five or six months after giving birth, so I would imagine her husband, Mike, might be a more realistic option.

I don't see any of the others doing it. Even Andrew's daughters would probably be forbidden by the palace -- by not having the Prince/Princess titles, Peter and Zara have a lot more freedom than their cousins.

I wouldn't be surprised as she is quite like Georgia May Foote.

What sort of character does she play Lewis? Nice or nasty?

I think Tisha might well be on the long list for Strictly next year....

Given their impending EastEnders exits, I'd be surprised if they don't approach one of either Samantha Womack or Rita Simons (Ronnie and Roxy).

Jamie Borthwick (Jay) would be good too.

Bet he's got rhythm - he's a musician don't forget! I think he'd be brilliant.
I'm guessing the Communards were before your time. Dancing was definitely not a prerequisite for Richard. Swaying behind a keyboard was as far as if went.

I think she would be EXTREMELY good, I can see her doing it, I think she could be a Natalie Gumede #2.

I actually do think they might get a YouTuber/ Vlogger to do the next series, as much as I would like it to be Zoe Sugg, I think they'd probably choose someone like Marcus Butler or Caspar Lee.

(I like them too though. )

Tessa Peake-Jones (Only Fools, Grantchester) has just been on Loose Women and she said she'd love to do Strictly.

Steph McGovern could be the obligatory BBC Breakfast entrant.
I'd love her to do it but I think after having had Carol and Naga over the past two years they'd be more likely to go for a man next year.

So I'd suggest Charlie Stayt or Ben Thompson (preferably Ben)
