I would too, I think he will do Strictly at some point, not this year I think, I believe he has a tour?
I can't really see SCD having someone from X Factor.

We may never get a youtuber because 1) They do nothing for ratings and 2) Youtubers lively hood relies on them creating and uploading videos sometimes daily, so fitting in training when the money they get comes from a pretty time consuming job already may mean they dont have the time to do a full series maybe a CIN or Xmas special

I'd like to see olly murs in strictly
He still has a career.

The guy who beat him in XF, Joe Whathisname, sorry, McElderry, is more likely to sign up eventually.

Actually I'd beg to disagree - Youtubers would do a-lot for the ratings........

If they include someone from "Casualty" in the 2017 lineup I wouldn't mind seeing either Rik Makarem (Dr Seb Grayling) or Michael Stevenson (paramedic Iain Dean) amongst the celebs (a bit of eye candy for the ladies!).
Crystal Yu (Lily Chao) would be a great choice, especially since we have never had an Asian celeb from that part of Asia before as far as I can recall.

She is also young and perhaps a bit of a ringer, so should do well.

She would be A LOT of a ringer, as in Natalie Gumede/Jill Halfpenny/Kara Tointon level.

I'm in.

Joe would like to do it but has been in panto for the last four years! He is also in the 50th anniversary tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat later this year.

Why not we are due a female winner again. Pack the female cast with Ringers and pick all over 50's for the men. Job done.

Googling British Actors, sportsmen, etc over 50 can be edifying....not exactly coffin dodgers, that said a lot of 'em are probably too high profile.

Next years line up will be a hard one to call but here's a few I've came up with :

Guys

David Ames - Holby City actor, gay guy & very cute
Olly Murs - Popular singer, nice guy
Tomasz Schfernaker - Weatherman, housewife's choice
Fran ???? - Travis Frontman, good scots guy
Ricky Wilson - Kiser Chiefs Singer, Voice judge
Tim Lovejoy - Dad dancing at it's worst... payback for all those times he was rude to Louise

Girls

Emma Watson - HP actress, in Disney's Beauty & the Beast 2017 - lovely person
Jennifer Saunders - Please, she'd be hilarious!!
Eliza Dushku - Buffy/Angel actress, good person... US contestant filled
Aunt Babe - Eastenders character... evil lady... true duffer for Giovanni
Gabby Logan - For Kevin... the height difference would be great barrier

Plus the fact she's already done it a few years ago

I wonder if Ruth Langsford will ever actually take part? She's rumoured every year, but I think the producers want her and Eamon together and he'll never do it.

I could see Olly Murs on Strictly for sure. He's fallen out with Simon Cowell after being sacked from the X Factor and I think would love to get one over on him by doing Strictly. Also Danii Minogue is back in the UK to do Gary Barlow's reality show. I could see her doing it as well.

I think Fran's surname is Healey ironically - like Austin or Chelsee. I don't think enough people who watch SCD would know who Eliza Dushku is although she's gorgeous enough that enough people might not care. I don't think she'd do it though. It would be ironic if she did DWTS although not as ironic as Mercedes MacNab whose character is mentioned as having done it in the Buffy comics - her ex Spike mentions her ruining it so I'm guessing he's a fan of the series. I can see that - the actor who plays him would never do it either more's the pity.

If James Marsters ever went anywhere near Strictly, I don't think I would stop squealing, even for a biscuit. Spike/William/Captain John doing Halloween is the stuff of dreams

IF they insist on having a "comic"/duffer Celeb, as they seem to have at least one each season, then how about Charles Hanson.

Charles Hanson is an Auctioneer of Bargain Hunt fame. He's famous for being a bumbling idiot & accident prone. A perfect casting for the duffer role as he has two left feet

I do feel for Ruth as she's absolutely desperate to give it a go!

She was once rejected from Dancing On Ice because she was so terrible, so I imagine she'd be a Garraway-esque duffer if she ever did it.

I adore Charlie Hanson - he's such a loveable dork. I think he'd be great fun, and spectacularly useless in a Quentin Wilson kind of way.

I'd also like another 70-something. Patricia Hodge, maybe, but she may be too big.
BIB Physically or celeb status-wise?

In the right hands (Anton or Kevin), I think Ruth could surprise.

I would hate to see her with someone who would totally knock her confidence (like the Fern/Artem situ). It would be great to see her have a good run at least...

The question is could Charlie manage to score even lower than Quentin's still record-breaking single score of 8 for a dance?!!!
