I'm so glad one of the Cliftons won . They are clearly a talented family and Jo has proven they can take a totally inexperienced dancer and make them a champion .
Well done Joanne and Ore .

I'm pleased about that too!

I read somewhere here tonight that Kevin congratulating his sister was OTT. Where is the eye roll smiley these days?

I thought it was lovely it's his sister for goodness sake !
Really pleased for Jo. I think she's absolutely lovely. Sad for Kevin as Louise danced within herself tonight ( the AT was even better than the first time though!). She looked nervous. Exceptionally gracious after the result too.

Hey, it's the Cliftons , everything is considered OTT on planet No-likey-Cliftons . Even breathing .

Kevin was on a hiding to nothing with certain FMs however he reacted. He'd either have been 'OTT' or jealous.

I thought his reaction was fantastic. It would be perfectly understandable if he felt a little dejected, but he was thrilled for his sis.

Team Clifton

Loved Jo showing just what she can do tonight and loved Kevin swinging her round when the result was announced.

The level of dislike for the Cliftons is scary in its intensity from some people. I voted for Ore as opposed to Joanne but admit to a quiet 'YES!' for her too. Well done the Cliftons.

I'm not a huge fan of the Cliftons (not because they are Cliftons, I'm not keen on them individually) but I thought it was so sweet the way Kevin was so happy for Jo. Why shouldn't he be allowed to make a big deal out of it?!

What odds would you have got on Joanne winning it before Kevin.

I just don't get the dislike, Kevin and Jo are talented and seem nice enough. Jo did a fantastic job with Ore, someone with no dance experience whatsoever and to get him to the standard she did speaks volumes for her teaching ability. Also thought Kevins reaction was great after the result was announced, he must have been disappointed but was genuinely thrilled for his little sister. Well Done.

I said on the main thread, I almost feel a teeny bit sorry for him.

I mean, four finals in a row, no wins. His younger sister comes along and wins the first time she gets to the final!

I feel like he really is destined to be forever the bridesmaid, never the bride!

I'm sure he's very happy for Jo though, and very happy to hold the 'most finals reached' record of the pros.

Jo is my least favourite Clifton but she had a good rapport with Ore and was very shocked to win, so I'm sending her some love tonight.

I'm glad Kevin didn't win this series as Louise was weakest of the final trio. Kudos to him for making four finals and being in one DO only. I hope he gets a wonderful partner next year and reaches the final again.

HM for the final Clifton, Karen. Felt sorry she could not participate in the final group dance as she lacked her celeb.

I hope Kevin gets a really good celeb next year too. A younger pop star or sports star.
Karen was in the final group dance but as a background dancer 😕 Poor thing. Will Young grrrrr!

I don't mind Jo. Kevin, on the other hand...

Four time loser Party at my house for anyone that was supporting anyone but Kevin. Oh, wait - I shouldn't say that - I'd have the entire country in my house

I can't pretend there wasn't some added satisfaction from that. The level of animosity aimed at them seems so excessive and unwarranted.

Four times semi finalist. Pretty impressive and plenty like Kevin.

It leaks from elsewhere in the forum too. Having something to hate makes for a camaraderie that cannot be equalled as war mongers know well.
