The bloke who won works for the BBC doesn't he? (never actually heard of him, meself)

Obvious he'd win.

basically

all the hormonal teens cried fix for 10 mins then it went all quite on Twitter.

During the final Danny was top trending through out the show, Louise's name popped up now and again, but not once did Ore trend on Twitter

we must remember that strictly is purely a popularity contest
it was pointed out on it2 that the winner is not the top voted by judges

dancing ability chemistry best journey et are all irrelevant
its about numbers

the dances on the night and through the series can influence the final poll but usually what happens on final night (as in jays drab turnout a year ago yet netting the trophy) just shows its all down to mindless individuals willing to ring up and vote]
usually after only one dance has occurred and the next two could be disasters#
its a farce relying on the public that's why ed balls got so far and also why daisy and laura went home too soon

spirit of strictly winner? - only one winner

Absolutely! And tonight quite a number of people who enjoy the show but never voted in their lives actually picked up their phones and voted for the best dancer on the night, Ore. My husband was one such and that's something I thought I would never see.

I didn't think Louise was the judges favourite... That title belonged well and truly to Ore.

If the show gave any bias to Ore it was in the semi and now is not the time to carp about that. I'm sure there will be plenty of time for that next week.

from the fourth week Ore became the BBC favorite

I wonder what programmes they have lined up for him

I bet its not sports any more

because there wasn't a fix

Ore danced the best and deserved all his scores, I thought he did in the semi too but he was really outstanding in all 3 dances.

Danny is the best dancer, the most versatile and the most consistently good (when he doesn't mess up which he did tonight) but he wasn't the best in the final.

Could not agree more. All the conspiracy theories are ridiculous. I used to think I was cynical until I read some of the posts on this forum this year!

Because the fix was getting Ore or Lisa to the final over Claudia - with last weeks marking/leaderboard, dance choices, and comments.

This week Ore's main contender for votes last week got her worst dance, in her worst costume and with an unfixable issue. But she didn't have a dance anyway that had enough emotional content, or physical spectacle , she had a slighter version of Danny's experience problem, and she didn't have a journey story.

Danny had a massive pre training issue, he had to come from behind, and then created an excuse for the judges to create a a scoring gap between him and Ore by making mistakes.

With that competition, Ore wins - more easily if you keep on stressing his supposed journey story, and people believe it, ignore his mistakes, and hype his dancing and poor acting. Final voters tend to vote for what they are told, tend to turn on the most experienced , and this year they were told the ringer was weaker, and believed it.

But Daisy or Laura could probably both have made the final if Louise did, and posibly produced something a bit more exciting than Louise if they picked their best dances , Claudia not only had dances that were as good as anyone's, but she could also easily have produced the most spectacular, vote friendly, showdance. Louis managed that with just a few moves. Any of those people would have matched Ore's journey tale. What matters is who gets the chance to be there in this year's final - and thats decided elsewhere than the dance floor.

The problem I have with these fix claims is who gains? Why would the judges or the producers care if Louise or Claudia is in the final? Judging is by definition subjective and if it differs from your opinion it doesn't mean there's a fix. Personally I thought it was a toss up between the two who most deserved to be in the final, but that both Danny and Ore were clearly more deserving, but that's only my opinion and if it had turned out differently I wouldn't have thought for a moment that it was a fix, simply that others had a different opinion, to which they are perfectly entitled.

In a week will anyone care? No

Why is every result a fix nowadays? Trump, Brexit, X Factor, GBBO, BGT and so on.

Almost ALL of you have FAILED to answer the question I asked whichwas basically this :

Everything was, apparently, being skewed to engineer a win for Kevin. Three times a finalist but never a winner, he and Louise were, allegedly, consistently being overmarked, were getting the best music choices with Louise being overpraised despite being extremely 'beige'. As a final show of alleged "favouritism" towards L&K, they were pushed through to the Final, at Claudia's expense. despite being the worst in the semis,

So why, at the final hurdle, were Louise & Kevin given THE worst Judges Choice of the three remaining couples - not only their joint lowest-scoring dance but also the most exposed for the super-conscious Louise?. Everyone was screaming "Fix" when things were seemingly going their way - was their Judges Choice a similar "fix" in their favour.

This is my question, so please feel free to respond - TO THIS.

To reiterate - I am not, nor was never talking about a "fix" in Ore's favour...

Oh they do this year due to the racist claims. A win by middle England couple Louise and Kevin over Danny and Oti and Ore and Joanne was just not going to happen. It's the clearest case of sabotage over the last two weeks I've seen on Strictly.

How can they sabotage the public vote, especially with many people voting for their first and only time during the series?

Is Oti 'middle England' then?

Last night she looked of a similar color to Ore, so if it was to do with race, Oti would satify your conspiracy.

Louise was an also ran last night from the start.
Nowhere near the level of the other two.

I have no answer to this.

I am guessing everyone has shut up about that theory and moved onto a new one.

I am also guessig Aliona has shut up about it too. Did she not say in the first few weeks the BBC woukd promote Ore, only for the end to all be about Louise? Which obviously was not the case, she finihed last on the leaderboard in the semis and was given a dance by the judges that was never going to be great, especially compared to Ore and Danny's judges choice.

Aliona said this, IIRC, just after Ore's Jive and it was being compared to Jay's Jive.
Ever since then she said that the BBC will be pushing for Louise.
Up until the Final it looked as if it was true, but I'm still puzzled as to why they gave Louise the Cha Cha Cha last night, it was a complete disaster and was way over praised by the Judges.

Why do people always bore on about fixes, the winner of Strictly really doesn't matter to the producers in the long run, what difference would it make to them which one of the three win. I was probably typical of a lot of viewers yesterday who began the show thinking Danny would win but ended up voting for Ore because he actually delivered best on the night.

Some people need to learn that an opinion is an opinion and a fact is a fact. Sometimes they coincide, but far from always. A great many opinions are based on incomplete information, which makes them unreliable by definition. People really should not state their opinions as if they were facts.

If Danny had won people would be shouting "FIX" after the many mistakes he made in the first dance and the one or two in his showdance.

If Louise had won people would be shouting "FIX" because she was at best mediocre, her best dance being the AT (which I loved).

So Ore won and people are shouting "FIX". Predictable really.

If you read what I said Louise and Kevin are middle england. They are. How anyone can question the sabotage of Louise is beyond me. It was so blatent. They didn't care if Ore and Joanne or Danny or Oti won.
