Should Oti have kept the Quickstep how it was?

I understand she cut down the Charleston section at the start to try and please Len but it changed steps in the routine which had to be re-learnt? This may have led to the errors Danny made overall. Judging in hindsight (which is very easy to do) should she have risked Len's wrath and left the Quickstep choreography alone?

Idk, it was the unchanged section that he made the mistakes in...I just think that maybe the nerves got to him. I don't think the change to the choreography was an issue.

Regardless of what Danny and Oti did tonight, they weren't going to win.

It did mean he was in hold for longer and had to remember an additional part. It could be he was so focused on getting that right his head was in the wrong place once he got through it.

EDIT: I agree, I don't think they were going to win either way but I would have liked to have seen three briliant dances from them instead of two.

Actually I'm pretty peed off about this anyway. The amount of faffing Len let go, especially later in the series, and yet he picked up on it in THIS Dance and made a song and dance of it.

I think it was a mistake to change it, it would have made it more difficult and messed with his head a bit and might have meant there was more time rehearsing the changed bit and less on the bit he knew. It probably wouldn't have made a different to the result as Ore would still have performed the same but Danny will probably always regret getting it wrong. Of course he might have got something wrong anyway as he did with the foxtrot but the change would have created an extra stress he didn't need on the night. Nice of them to change it for Len but it should have been about making it as right as possible for Danny

Absolutely. The judges "did not notice" the obvious mistakes Ore had made in the semifinal (like that stumble in front of the camera), and they judged Danny's rehearsal salsa rather than the one that was on the show and in which they made no mistakes.
Do you really think Danny had a chance?
Oti, with her pure heart, might think it is her fault, and Danny will blame himself, and they don't have families all over these forums to big them up. That's what the judges were counting on.
