Following the debacle that Louise and Kevin were given their joint lowest-scoring and most exposing dance as their "Judges Choice", whilst the boys were both handed gifts, here are my suggestions for "balancing up" the choice to make it a whole lot fairer:

1) The Judges choose a particular 'Week' of dancing
They could choose, for example, a week when the three finalists topped the leader board (or jointly topped). This would eliminate all bias as to length of time since those routines were last danced.

All that guff to Louise tonight that we want to see 'if you can improve your score' is pointless as tonight's scores are about as useful a punctured air balloon. What I am saying is, so what if you choose their highest-scoring dances? Isn't it all about achievement? That being the case, allow them to celebrate their success.

2) The Judges choose dances which achieved the same score
I know all scoring is subjective but, once given, its given. Suspending all the 'technicalities', the perception is, the dances are 'equal' and are, therefore, fair game to be compared.

Opinions?

What suggestions do you have for improving the "Judges Choice"

Scrapping it and asking for the couple's favourite Ballroom and favourite Latin would work better!

If they have to keep it choosing dances which were pretty close in marks would be the best thing; Louise's Cha Cha Cha was four marks down on Ore's American Smooth and eight off Danny's Quickstep from when they were danced first.

I think judges choices were a little unfair this year. Louise's Cha Cha Cha was never going to be a show stopper like Ore's AS or Danny's QS. Think they should have gone for her AS or Jive.

If Danny had been handed his dance it would have been his charleston just so he could have had the equivalent of two showdances the same as Ore had as for Louise I cant think of another dance that stood out for her as they were all about the same

Looking atit like that they threw Louise under a bus

I would like to see one favorite ballroom and one latin and a showdance and leave the judges out of the choices

That might have been impossible if Ed had reached the final.

However they choose the dances there is a chance for bias. It doesn't matter if it is same scores, the same dance, same week, or anything else.

If that was the case then Ore and Danny would probably have done the same dances as they did and depending on whether you count AT as ballroom or latin Louise might have chosen those 2 as well
