While I am happy to accept an habitual smoker can easily handle a ciggy and a car at the same time, taking smak is bang out of line.

Yes, some people have automatic cars....but the maj in uk still don't.”

Delay changing gear until the cig is lit.

A motorist would know a gear change is coming up anyway so wait until done before picking up lighter etc.

Do you smoke?

Would you normally drive with a mass of leaves stuck on your window?

Yes.

What you forget is that even reasonable people have their limits.

Only if I really don't like the look of them.

“Honestly, I wish I was braver and stronger as I shove that fag end up the clowns rear if I saw someone throw out fag ends out of vehicles.
I've had a fag end land between my cars bonnet and window and smoke was coming out, could have easily set my car on fire if I had a mass of leaves stuck in there. Also a risk the same fag end could have dropped in some car with the window open, on someone.”

You should mention this a bit more. I'm not sure enough people read it the previous 40 times. I'll also ask the question again, how many times has it been recorded that a cigarette end flew from one car into the open window of another?

Quote:
“At work, a colleague told me how a clown flicked a fag end and it dropped on his passenger seat, a Mercedes CLK convertible and damaged his leather seat. The Merc driver followed the clown in Corsa that threw the fag end and challenged the Corsa driver and told him to pay for the repairs and demanded an exchange of details for insurance needs. Sadly, the Corsa driver, a right through and a clown decided to attack my colleague. Little did the Corsa driver know that the Merc driver was a rugby player and my colleagues in self-defence picked up the thug and slammed him down into the road. The thug soon calmed down and soon exchanged details, lol”

Why do I not believe this? Firstly, it seems made up to further your 'campaign' as it's pretty much the situation that you've been talking about possibly happening for the past 12 pages.

Secondly, the last thing I would be doing if somebody "slammed" me into the road would be to give them any of my details.

Dear Hollie

It's your choice if you wish to "believe" or otherwise. What I post is true but no matter what I say, there will be some that will hold their own opinions.

You ask me fag ends dropping on other cars and how many times i have seen this. Happened to me once, works colleage told me about this burnt seat where he had to self defend. My dad drives more than I do and he has seen it several times, what more can I say?

What point is that?

Sadly, smokers know that it is dangerous to smoke and drive and they are also aware that 99% will flick ash onto the public/roads/streets and then flick out their fag end when they finish. They know they are irresponsible, ill-educated, and nasty as no decent person trashed the streets with little on a daily basis.

These smokers won't like this thread as it's too close to the home truths.

Some actual reported stats of a cigarette being flicked from a car and going into another one would be nice.

So it only drivers who smoke you have a problem with or people who smoke in general. The streets are seem to be full of rubbish from fast foods more than fag ends. You cannot prove your 99% of anything, by keep says 99% does not make it a fact

There is hardly a car that comes with a lighter/ashtray and that is a fact. You have to pay extra for the ashtry/lighter. Most smokers can't afford a new car, so where does the ash and fag end go - I rest my case!!

Tim, you will find this hard to digest but on the whole, it is the same people that trash our streets with fag ends that drop the other litter, it's a vicious cycle for them.

Now your having a laugh saying most smokers cannot afford new cars, how would know, can you prove this statement

Well you will find this hard to digest, but the number of smokers is going down all of the time but the litter problem is going up, so trying to blame smokers for these things is even more laughable

I've had a fag end fly into my crash helmet once. Luckily it had gone out. All the same, one inconsiderate person doesn't mean that all smokers should suffer. They suffer enough already, lung cancer, heart disease etc.

Wow always corsa's and 3 series.... Was it a real 3 series or a look a-likey?
Well, I've been driving and smoking coming up for 30 years and I've never had a scrape.......of course there's always the possibility I've left a wake of devastation behind me every time I've lit up🚬

Prove that most smokers can't afford a new car. Also, if most smokers can't afford a new car, surely that means they are buying old cars that likely did come with an ashtray no?

Setting aside your utterly condescending views of smokers and what they can and can't afford....

...if a smoker really couldn't afford a new car then they'd buy a second-hand one. You know, an older car, one that comes with an ash tray and cigarette lighter. Duh!

Really now, 12 pages and all you've proved is that you have no actual facts to back up any of your ridiculous assertions such as the 99% and your stories have an air of fiction about them that makes this all look too desperate on your part. You've got a weak argument and you're pushing that position without any credible supporting evidence. Isn't is about time you gave this up as a bad job?
