Schaffernaker is hardly likely to say to his boss 'I was drunk' is he?
For the avoidance of doubt, I'm not saying he was but if he was he'd be a bit daft to admit it. And no bosses around at 5.30 in the morning to check up on his state at the time, so, understandably the attention seeking missile gets the benefit of the doubt. Never knew that. Thanks. Who are his bosses during the daylight hours! |

So for all the different departments of news and radio no one is in charge over night in any of them. It's a free for all during the night.
Never knew that. Thanks. ! And no one likes to be a snitch- so if you ask anyone who was there, they will just say they don't know. |

This just gets better.
Now it's moved from him having a hangover (unsubstantiated of course), to him being drunk (again, unsubstantiated). |

Nice little fantasy world you created there.
At the very least he needs some retraining. By far his most irritating habit is to keep taking two paces forward, followed by two paces back several times in each 2 minute broadcast. To a lesser extent he moves too far to the left and right as well. All broadcasters are told not to keep moving around. Very annoying. The others don't do it. But there again they are good. |

The thing is he isn't my hero. He's just another person on the TV. In the context of this thread he is a guy that became ill at work. That's it. I would have said exactly the same thing regardless who it was. You appear to be unable to separate your fantasy world with that of reality thus he becomes my hero because you project your own hangups on to some guy from the TV. Have you thought that it it you with the problem and not some random weather man? Why are you reporting on his movements during a weather broadcast? Are you feeling well? |

That's your problem. You have a frankly bizarre hatred of some guy from the TV that you create a fantasy scenario around them to suit said hatred.

All presenters are told to move as little as possible, as it is distracting to be wandering all over the place. No fantasy world- just pointing out he has an irritating presentation style that the others don't have. |

Now, you are getting very close to abusing a fellow poster with some of those comments.

Shocking isn't it? What does this have to do with being ill? Quote:

Again. You are confusing your own perception of a person on TV with that of fact. You see...more fantasy. All presenters are told to move as little as possible? Another fact I didn't know. Thank you. How does he get away with it? Terrible man he is. |

I've called him irritating a number of times, and have given reasons why I feel like that. Nowhere have I ever said 'hate' so that must be some fantasy scenario you have dreamed up about me. |

What are the rules regarding taking a step forward and then back? I'm always looking to learn more. I know newsreaders are not supposed to talk with their hands but I'm not sure what the rules are for weather presenters taking a step forwards and then back again. |

So in a thread about a person being ill you do nothing but post how you cant stand him. You dream up situations to place him in in order to strengthen you own dislike. Hell, even his work colleagues covered up for him (good job there was no one in charge at the time eh?) . Even something as simple as a person taking a step forward and backwards seems to irk you.

And I'll leave it there, because I don't want to have to keep checking back on this thread to see if you have made yet another post. |

Look- everyone knows it is distracting if a newsreader, reporter, or weather person is constantly moving around. I'm not talking about genuinely moving from A to B for some reason. I;m talking about pointless walking around like some people do on station platforms.

At this busy time of the festive season, i'm sure that we all have better things to be getting on with than discuss this idiot.
Unless his long term behaviour improves substantially, i'm confident that he will at some point have enough rope to hang himself anyway. |

Seeing that you have nothing better to do. What trouble did he get into for his photo shoot for a gay magazine? He didn't get into any trouble at all did he. You made it up. A little fantasy perchance? |

A little fantasy perchance? Do a search online, i'm not doing your donkey work for you. I've been spending most of the day doing last minute things for Christmas, not worrying about idiots on TV and those with nothing better to do than seek confrontation through the use of antagonism on an internet forum. |

[/b] RIchardcoulter I don't know the guy so I really can't say what we have in common. You appear to claim to know us both. I'm not gay or a weather man I do know that. You and Schafernaker appear to have a lot in common Quote:

You raised it as part of a discussion. I really can't be blamed if you tell lies just to embellish not liking someone on the TV. Maybe you had nothing better to do at the time.Quote:

That's nice. So have I. Yet here you are! Of course, you have barely contributed to this thread at all have you? Are you worried as well? Quote:

It would be nice if everyone agreed with you wouldn't it? I suppose it would be nicer if other people didn't ask you to clarify a point you made whist replying to a post. The thing is, if you want to treat other posters like idiots by making clap trap up I'm sure you will agree it is only fair they treat you in the same manner. Yes, it would be nice if everyone fell for your lie but such is life. How about it? What trouble did the gay weather man get into for doing a photo shoot for a gay magazine. Typing a line along the likes of 'He was suspended by the BBC' is hardly "Donkey Work" is it? But he didn't get into any trouble did he? Not with the BBC or the Met office

I would agree it was a problem for her, but not a drink related one as the gossips try and infer but a health one (a virus and exhaution) that required her to be rushed to hospital 18 minutes in to her segment .

Wearing a DJ with green bow tie on bbc1 tonight, then started his forecast with a huge wink. What was all that about?
