Coming across as friendly and helping to get us into the Christmas mood perhaps?

I guess that those who dislike him will see it another way though and say that it's more juvenile behaviour.

He's a handsome guy with a sense of humour. I've got no issues with him presenting my weather.

Wearing a DJ with green bow tie on bbc1 tonight, then started his forecast with a huge wink. What was all that about?
I didn't see it so I can't comment on that appearance, but isn't the weather one of those segments where at times the news can be a little light hearted? I suppose it wouldn't be appropriate for the news readers to dress that way, but as nothing serious has happened (in the UK) it would be fine at holiday times.

The weather presenter on Calendar certainly does the lighter bits half way through the show.
