In the Christmas BBC trailer, there is a random woman with the Fowlers when they got the turkey delivery. She was looking at Martin and Ian and she seems to know them. Michelle Fowler recast?

I don't have a link but someone suggested it was Ruth Fowler (Mark's ex) and she does look like the actress, but it's random they would bring her back!
Funnily enough BBC have taken the trailer down now. Was a 1 min trailer for all the Christmas shows and showed a clip with Stacey, Martin, Ian and Bex with a woman in The Fowler's kitchen. Been a lot of talk on Walford Web. The actress looked like Nicola Stephenson I thought.

Its pathetic really how everyone clings on to a character who hasn't been needed for a long time. Whenever there is an air of mystery it must be Michelle Fowler returning.
Who killed Lucy? Must be Michelle Fowler returning.
Will Ronnie die? Maybe she dies and Michelle returns.
Are Kat and Alfie returning? Maybe they will return with Michelle.
What happens to Lee? Maybe Michelle returns and he goes with her.

If the BBC and SOC are trying to run EE into the ground they are going the wrong way about it. EE is the best it has been in a long while, back to the heydays of the 80's

I've never seen any of the above being discussed?
Michelle's return is often bought up - just because she's a character that you aren't a fan of, it doesn't mean other people have to share your opinion, nor should they be called 'pathetic' for discussing her so on a soap forum.

I don't think it's completely impossible as an idea. It would certainly give a bit more context to that random scene with Sharon talking to Michelle on the phone the other day.

Nothing to confirm that is the case except speculation of a two second scene in the BBC trailer, would be a huge jump to bring her back after the Mark reveal, considering we have potentially one new character joining (Denise's mum) there been no other casting news, why would SOC recast when the Mark stuff is done and dusted, seem a bit pointless imo.

She looks nothing like Elizabeth - wasn't she chubby with dark hair? Also she wouldn't be as old as this woman appears.

I personally find those who call others pathetic for discussing soap characters on a soaps forum rather pathetic
It's utter madness that people discuss characters on a soap forum isn't it
I personally don't think it's Michelle. She hasn't returned for 21 years despite having her closest family and friends on the square and she could've been recasted years ago if needed. I don't think she is absolutely needed right now and it's fine for a character to live abroad without having to be killed off.

I saw a similar thing in another thread yesterday and I'm like' "come on! We're all here spending our free time discussing television soaps in quite some detail"... I don't think any of us are winning prizes for coolness anytime soon
