I based my choice of winner on who I had enjoyed throughout the 3 month competition. I think that voting purely based on the final makes it seem like what was the point of all of the previous dances. Even if I was voting just based on the night, it still would have been Danny. His performances were way more exciting than the others. To be honest, I'm over Danny not winning. Him and Oti have left behind an amazing legacy.

And the difference would be .... ? You can't dictate terms for people voting. There's almost certainly a group of people who vote for the celeb with their star sign or the name of their favourite grandparent. And more power to their elbow. I mean, what next? People reading the manifestos before voting in a General Election? Get real!
Anyway, I have often heard other forum members say exactly the same as I did. |

It's perplexing. At times like this I really wish I were a physicist or someone with a better grasp of the fundamental laws of reality, the directional nature of time, causation, spooky long-range doodah and stuff...
People keep complaining but Ore still won. ![]() Recount! Rewind! BWARP! BWARP! Reality has Gone Wrong. (Well done Jo and Ore! )

Last year jay won (easily, apparently) with the public vote, yet there were people saying kellie should have won because on the night she did more 'crowd pleasing' routines than he did. Like you, it seems that voters judged jay on what he had done over the whole series. Kellie was 'bigged up' by the judges in the final in the same way as Ore was in the semi...with different results. Truth is that, unlike jay, danny just didn't have the same levels of public support, at least not after week 11.

The SCD judges and producers would not be able to keep their jobs had they not been learning from their mistakes. They failed with Kelly last year, so this year they upped their game. They also reused successful tricks from the past (I did not complain then because it helped the best dancer; however, other fans were very unhappy). Little wonder, then, that RETIRED pros and Brendan (when he was still talking) predicted the 2016 outcome, despite the fact that they had no way of knowing the voting numbers. |

There's no need for the sarcasm - has anyone ever told you it's the lowest form of wit?
But since you brought it up, I prefer to use my brain cells a) on something that actually matters; and b) to look at evidence rather than create baseless speculation. |

BiB I can believe it (I prefer Jay as a person to Danny: I have a soft spot for intelligent and witty people). However, it does not exclude the probability of manipulation, which explains the difference between 2016 and 2015.

I thought these were supposed to be our OWN thoughts. I wasn't dictating terms for people voting for goodness sake! The presenters always say "vote for your favourite". Some people's favourite might be the worst dancer who then knocks out a reasonable dancer.
Anyway, I have often heard other forum members say exactly the same as I did. |

1. The crazies have got crazier
2. The moaners have got moanier 3. The vile have got viler 4. The grasp on reality has got looser 5. The life of those who just enjoy the show, love the dancing, and respect the judges has never been harder And people wonder why I prefer DWTS, joyfully free of conspiracy theories, and judges being castigated, and contestants being smeared. |
