iPhone 5s help needed
Hello all,
This summer my iPhone 5s turned off and never turned back on. I have tried numerous different chargers and all of the 'hacks' online such as holding the home button down etc etc. The screen remains blank and there is never any sign that it is being charged etc, it has now been like this for four months, I talked to the apple online service and they said I would have to send it back and they would repair it however the cost would be more than what I paid for the phone. I a, currently travelling and cannot send it back to the shop I bought it from (cex) If anyone has had this problem before any advice would be greatly appreciated, |

I'd set a budget and then let a mobile phone repair shop have a look at it. Where are you 'travelling'? |

When did you buy it from CEX? What warranty do you have, if any?

Can't you wait until you get back and take it to the shop, they are obliged to sort it out under warranty

I wonder if it has the same issue as my 5.
To charge mine I have to plug it in, then put something under the plug lead just where the cable enters the connector body (on the connector & not the cable) This props the charging end of the phone up a little & I then put a weight over the end of the phone thereby forcing the lightning connector down a tiny bit to get a connection & charge. Yes the phones connector is clean & free from dust/dirt/fluff as per online help/vids etc & yes using an official charging cable. This is screen facing up. The prop I use is my wifes emery nail file board thingy (gets a good grip) The weight is my wifes Moto G just to give you an idea. It is getting gradually worse & I am now adding a litte more weight so I am guessing that the at some stage a new connector is needed but this would cost more than the phone is worth. |
