Best Headset?
I am looking for the best headset that just works with the Xbox One, in the sense its simple to setup.
Budget wise looking £200 tops, would hopefully get a decent one for that price, wired or wireless I'm not fussed, would love 7.1 surround sound if I get it under that price. Any suggestions? |

I went with the turtle beach*800x. I got mine for sub £200 but it is up to £230 on amazon and turtle beach.
https://intl.turtlebeach.com/gb/elite-800x https://www.amazon.co.uk/Turtle-Beac...tle+beach+800x Active Noise Cancellation for both console and mobile use Completely wireless, interference-free game and chat audio for Xbox One Ground-breaking DTS Headphone: X 7.1 Channel Surround Sound Hidden, high-quality noise-cancelling microphones tuned for gaming with environmental presets Magnetic charging stand also securely displays the Elite 800X Use Bluetooth pairing to take calls while gaming or use as a mobile headset Built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 10 hours of use App control on Android for easy preset switching from mobile or tablet while gaming Personalise the Elite 800X by changing the easy-to-use swappable rocker plates My pros - Plugging in my youview box into my xbox one hdmi in, and being able to use my head set while watching tv. Great changing your settings via your mobile phone while you game. Cons - The mic is built into the headset, there was problems with being able to speak/hear*your mates*while gaming. They have brought out a patch that should have fixed that. I don't speak online Cant confirm if fixed. Can be uncomfy after 2 hours of use, I*wear glasses, not sure if that makes a difference. It does work on pc but it is not clear about 7.1, on amazon reviews - only via bluetooth connection on the stereo mode. Yet again I haven't tried it either. |

Jumping on the headset thread. Is there a quick method of diverting sound on xb 1?
My son plugged his headset adapter and headset in and although sound coming through, it's also still coming out tv. |

I just normally put my tv volume down to zero, on the tv, when I am using my headset. I had a quick look in settings but I couldn't see anything either.

I bought the Official XBOX One Stereo headset for about £36 from Tesco. Seems decent enough.
