You aren't the only one, it's not showing that in my app either.

Looking at https://www.vodafone.co.uk/explore/costs/data-charges/ it says:
Please note: the UK data cap is switched off as standard. It’s only available on Pay monthly and SIM only bundles bought after 5 May 2016, or Mobile Broadband and tablet bundles bought after 28 September 2016. |

That would be why the cap switch isn't available in the app for me. My sim only 12 monther started early 2016.

Ah so it's available only on CTR12 plans. I wondered if that might be the case.
You can migrate to A CTR12 plan if you phone up. |

Just tried on another device with a Vodafone plan taken out about 3 months ago and the option is there and has successfully enabled.

CTR12 is the 12th refresh to the consumer plans Vodafone have done. Basically the new cap is only selectable on the new plans because the old plans don't really exist on the system anymore.
On my system I can still find T-Mobile Personal Call, Bronze, Silver and Gold plans if I override the matrix.... not that anyone would want them!

I expect they do still exist on the system.... it's just a way to wring that few extra pennies out of customers.

They could associate it but the money comes in. Having said that the way the system is setup favours the new price plans. |

Or just kick the useless bunch of idiots that will roll out a feature so only a portion of their customers can make use of it into touch, as I will be doing in January...

Is it just Vodafone in the UK who are a useless shambles, or has the culture been exported to all the foreign telcos they've snapped up ?
Vodafone UK has this endemic problem with middle management. People have good ideas but they're never allowed to progress very far. |
