Licence to Kill was criminally underrated as a film; as too was Dalton as Bond - Dalton was Fleming's Bond.
Unfortunately it was made when Bond was steadily on the decline whilst other films and franchises were gathering pace. Bond had become unfashionable and the film unfairly ended Daltons tenure as Brosnan had become available and was always Brocollis first choice. For me, Brosnan did more harm to the brand with invisible cars etc later in his run of films. Whilst I favour the grit of Dalton and now Craig, my second favourite film is Live & Let Die - the opposite end of the spectrum with Moore's camp and comedy |

Sean Connery - From Russia With Love
George Lazenby - (obviously OHMSS), lol Roger Moore - The Spy Who Loved Me Timothy Dalton - The Living Daylights Pierce Brosnan - Goldeneye Daniel Craig - Casino Royale I'd love to see a TV miniseries that are direct adaptations of the books, keeping it period and using all the same cast throughout. |
