Have I missed something? I was reading the DS article about Matt Terry http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/the-x-f...oney-g-single/ and it says the spice girls are in the running for Xmas No1 Why?? I mean I am a massive fan but got no idea why they are in the running for Xmas No1.

Is it one of those 'lets get a old song to Xmas No1 to stop X Factor / p--- Simon Cowell off campaigns???

As a Spice Girls fan, I know they along with The Beatles are the only two acts in history to have three consecutive UK Christmas No. 1's (2 Become 1, Too Much and Goodbye) but I didn't know they were releasing one this year is it one of those three?

Fans started a campaign (again) to get Stop to number 1. It hasn't took off.

Exactly 20 years after 2 Become 1 would be fitting. And it would sort of be a cryptic message in the song title 'Becoming number 1.. 2 times"

I would like to see Matt Terry get Christmas number one. Mainly because there hasn't been an original christmas song at number one since the 80's. I think the last time an original Christmas song with the word Christmas in the title was Shakin Stevens in 1985. Saviours Day in 1990 was probably the last original Christmas song to be number one on Christmas Day but it didnt have the word Christmas in the title.

The remakes of Band Aid were both number one in 2004 and 2014 but the 2014 one was number one in mid november!

I thought it might've been 2 Become 1 with it being it's 20th anniversary.
