The other night I was watching a recorded episode of Hollyoaks and the box insisted on playing the audio description track, despite it not being selected. I never select it as its only me that uses the box and I dont need it !

Anyway, just a random glitch I thought, and did a planner rebuild anyway. Tonight, watching last weeks Holby City its doing it again - Weird.

Is this a known issue at all? Cant see any mention of it elsewhere on the forum - But I thought I'd post and see

There was a reported spate of this happening to some people some years ago, although it never happened to me.
The annoying thing was that if this happened on a recording there was nothing you could do to restore the normal track, as only the audio description track had been burnt into the recording!

Thats exactly what seems to be happening. 'Burnt into the recording' is a perfect description... I guess I'll just have to hope it doesn't happen too often At least I'm not going mad lol

I've posted this in another thread, I've found if I'm on BBC1 SD (101) audio description switches itself on if I press the red button and go into text mode. switches off again when I exit text and return to live tv. Only noticed this happening on BBC1 SD and no other BBC channel.

This happened to us last week, also on Hollyoaks strangely enough. This was on SkyQ 2TB.
