For those of you who may have missed it, especially as Katie tweeted hers at 2am. Nothing to do with her trying to bury it in any way though. Looking at her twitter account this morning, it seems she is rather preoccupied with trying to get a murderer released from prison.

Not usual for me to quote from the Daily Mail but here it is in full -

Buried in tiny print on page 30 probably.

Let's hope extremists and fake news providers such as Ms Hopkins and the Mail are barred from America & other countries.

Lots of money for them... they should go to Disneyland.

She's saying she jumped to conclusions from a series of unfortunate accidents. He's not responsible for what his son does, his links to extremist stuff was just a silly mix up etc. etc. Much as it's nice to see Katie Holmes lose, remember the family were banned before the story, not because of it.

She isn't trying to get a murderer out of prison she is camping for the release of a British soldier who shouldn't be in prison

He's a convicted murderer. And dismissed from the Army in disgrace so he's no longer a soldier.

No...

For anyone to come on here and pretend to take the high moral ground to defend the many vile things Hopkins has said, is astonishing.

She's the one who was shown the door at ITV, she's the one that's caused the Mail to fork out a significant some of money...she's the one who launched her so called career making she shagged someone in a field.

Horrible woman.”

She is indeed, but the abuse just makes her feel stronger and more relevant; keeps her in the limelight and is therefore able to keep getting well paid. It's a win win situation for her, really, and she has her acolytes. Nauseating, but true.

I'm not defending her. She's a troll that is deliberately provocative simply to sell papers and get website hits. I'm replying to comments such as maybe they'll spend it in Disneyland now that they've won. It wasn't the DM or horrible Katie Hopkins that prevented this family from going to America.

And yet some of us can't see it and continue to play her game, thinking that by opposing her she will leave, she won't. Like not feeding trolls, the only way to win is by not playing. Ignore her and her product isn't worth anything and she will go away.

I actually wonder if she is a right winger at all and if she believes half the stuff she is saying. She comes out with this vile and provocative stuff but I have a suspcion it's just an attention seeking stunt and a way of making money and getting her face all oer the media.

She stuck her odious head above the parapet of the media and scatterguned lies but she's been caught out in the headlights of publicity and made to apologise, and her employer has had to pay out compensation. Good! Perhaps they will control her grubby activities better in future.

He said himself that he was doing nothing more than what his victim would have done if the situation had been reversed. Which is exactly the point. He was there fighting against a terrorist ideology, because he - and the British public - felt he had the moral authority to do exactly that. But in that moment, he behaved in exactly the same way as the enemy he was fighting against, making him no better than 'the other side'. He knew what he was doing, he knew it was illegal, and trying to use the public's legitimate pride in our Armed Forces to bolster his case for leniency is sickening.

Hopkins, not Holmes. Best not to associate one famous person with a contemptible infamous one.

It's just a stunt, as you say. Of course she doesn't believe the crap she spouts, because you'd have to be stupid or damaged to believe it. Her and Milo Yiannopoulos are birds of a feather in that regard,

Wrong.

Royal Marines aren't part of the Army.

Basic facts are tricky but helpful if you're trying to be all edgy.

So you believe British soldiers should lower themselves to the level of people who would commit war crimes then?

It's truly mind boggling seeing someone trying to say murder is ok if you don't like your victim.

That is the opposite of what the FM is saying!

That shows how much regard I have for her. I can't even get her name right!
