I dont see the point of having a show in the following week. What they need is to have more time at the end of the final to just interview the three couples briefly. It is far too rushed as they have it at the moment. Theres not much that the couples have left to say which hasn't already been said during the final week of ITT.

Too many montages, too much faffing abaht and even the wait between "The winner is..." and the announcement seemed a lot shorter. Must have been running out of time to get the Michael Mcintyre show on!

Although I would like one in the following week, I voted for straight after the final as I don't think it would be practical to get everyone back, as much as I would like that. After the final everyone is there and in a party mood so that would be nice.

You've got a good point in that they would all be there. I was just thinking of the finalists. It might be nice to have a quick word with all the participants, especially the ones who went out early as they tend to be forgotten.

They would have plenty of time to fit this in at the end of the final rather than have a programme after it. As someone said earlier, there was too much faffing and filler.

I'd like them to record bits after the show goes off air on saturday (interviews with contestants, judges, pros) and then show them on the monday with some highlights from the night or series, they'd need Zoe to pull it all together but it wouldn't have to be live at all

No, because I have had enough of talk of journeys, enjoying every second, never thought I'd make it to Blackpool, I've got a friend for life, you've worked so hard, it's one big family, I'm a dancer now etc - and that's just Ore. We get the same lines every year, so we need nine months off before we can start hearing them again without feeling sick.

Was it last year or the year before where they had a red button show straight after the final? If I remember it was all a bit frantic and rushed

They could do as someone suggested do all the interviews straight after the final and then edit them together to be shown on the following Monday.

Might help with the withdrawal symptoms

The previous red button after the event interviews were a bit hit and miss with people saying more or less the same things they said on the show. Having it a few days later might give them more time to reflect? Having said that, perhaps reflection isn't ITT's forte :

Mwah, Mwah :

I said to my mum it was one thing I wish they did have, an after show. Either straight after the final or on the Monday, they could bring them all back for one last chat. Also, I really wish they would announce who is in 2nd and 3rd place, it really gets my goat up!

Maybe the best bet is to record it after the final, but not air it for a while (say December 27th/28th) as "Strictly Come Dancing Review". Would give everyone a break but would still be fresh in people's minds.

If only the BBC was geared up to record things that happened on a Saturday night, and then broadcast an edited version the next day - as a scheduled Sunday evening telly programme.

That would give them the chance to interview all of the couples - previous contestants and finalists. They could all give an in-depth interview during the day, and a shorter reaction interview after the results were out.

The same thing could be done with the band members and singers, Tess and Claudia, family members of the finalists, random super fans and lucky regulars fans of the show.

There might even be the opportunity to have an interview with a singer who just happened to be there, just happened to have a new album out, and just happened to be willing to perform on a well-rehearsed spontaneous basis.

Some frantic overnight/during the day editing could produce a programme to seamlessly fill the Sunday night schedules.

Makes you wonder why the idea has never occurred to the Beeb [shrugs]

I think they should record live reaction after the final, then make another "end of term party" type show - not necessarily live, but recorded live. I know people go their separate ways then, but I would love to see an extra day built into the contract to do this, then show it at Christmas as a little extra treat to wind it all up. Not necessarily dancing - more like an ITT but with all of them there and a party atmosphere - bit like the jungle final where all the contestants are sitting together. They could end it with everyone dancing "off the cuff" on the floor together - like a mega school disco.
