Oxford Street Xmas Lights
I'm thinking of getting up early on Xmas morning (about 5 am) and then take my kids for a drive to the Xmas lights.
Do they switch them off at some point - would we still see them at that time in the morning? It'd be quite cool to have the street to ourselves but only if the lights are on. |

I'm not sure if they are ever switched off but they are quite disappointing, just balls with massive adverts (yes I know for a good cause but advertising hoardings don't make for a good light display).

I was down there lastnight. Yes they have big orbs over the road, they also have three 'snow' machines on the roof of Topshop blowing ' snow into the street. It certainly had people smiling and stopping to take pictures. There are pretty lights on the street where Victoria's Secret is, feathers and peacocks and seven dials was pretty too Far more to see than just oxford street.
I would be surprised if they switched them off |

There is Regent Street and I think Bond Street lights as well. And the tree in Trafalgar Square.
