Actually there was one or two posts between me and Tony where I was baffled, the other 25 pages was me having to explain myself repeatedly well after Tony and I had finished talking, coupled with members of the assembled clique chipping in to talk at cross purposes.

There's only you, blueblade and a couple of others who have actually conducted a reasoned debate without any assumptions about my character. Honestly, once people are upset woe-betide anyone who dares to consider things dispassionately. DS does my ****ing head in at times.
It seemed pretty obvious to me what Tony was saying, as it was to other posters. It was only you who appeared to be baffled which is why some posters may have got a little frustrated. Although in fairness, nobody told you to shove it up your **** or whatever it was you said to someone.

Threads about Islamic terrorism are often heated. Brought up in Germany, I find this attack, regardless of the facts, very distressing, much more so than Nice.

Not so much 'struggling', as revelling in the chance for argument I suspect.
No doubt at all, imo.

I've found his obvious gauding of other posters completely artless. Not to mention repulsively inappropriate.

... I'll only be pushed so far, and at that point an instant ban seemed appealing. No doubt there would be lots of congratulatory posts if it said "inactive member" under my username.

I'm not going to hold my breath that this will be announced to have been an accident by this time tomorrow, but it's still a possibility and one that we should all be hoping for.

This thread reminds me of the one about the woman who was facing imprisonment in Dubai, having been raped.

You conducted a reasoned debate?

Who posted the following?:
Basically it's a load of old cobblers,

Stick it up your ****.

Well **** 'em, I've had enough.
Let me remind you, you posted the original question to a poster "why you'd think that what (some) Muslims want is for other Muslims to suffer." Which I answered and attempted to reduce your bafflement.
You then tried (and failed) to have an argument and told people to:

Stick it up your ****.

You can stick it up your **** too!

...Wait, did you just gaud me into saying that?

No you assumed I'd gone to bed.
I posted on topic but you missed that:
Associated Press now reporting Berlin Police have said the death toll is now 12
Link
Nor did I "come back to have a go at you" I responded to a post by you which was an obvious dig at me (being the person you had the conversation with to which you referred to) trying to infer I was not "conducting a reasoned debate", was "in a clique".

You're the one swearing and telling people to

Stick it up your ****.
and pretending that is reasonable debate.

Saying that they want us to kick their asses, so that they can radicalize more people (who will then become terrorists, causing us to kick yet more Muslim ass, ad nauseum) makes no sense whatsoever.
They're trying to provoke a war between "the West" and Islam. It makes perfect sense. The more peaceful Muslims feel persecuted, the easier prey they'll be for those who want to radicalise them. It's not hard to figure out, really.

Of course. What they want is to be more and more persecuted and then wiped from the face of the Earth. It makes perfect sense when you think about it.

I suppose you can't secure everything and make towns/ cities into fortresses. Very sad day for Germans and tourists who were caught up visiting.

I did, but I wasn't suggesting that we try.

What does it mean to have a war against Islam, exactly? If you persecute a particular set of people, ever increasingly, and then war is declared what do you suppose would happen? If the Jews had, at the 11th hour, declared a holy war against Germany what do you suppose would have happened?

London has the New Years parade and probably other cities do the same in a few weeks. Complete lock down?

The world is embroiled in tragedy, a great pity people don't realise that we are all citizens of one fragile planet, and if we don't look after it and each other we are all doomed.

When I said, "It all makes perfect sense when you think about it. " I was being sarcastic. No, like almost everybody that has ever lived they do not actually wish to be wiped from the face of the Earth, and they don't want to be persecuted more. They actually want to be persecuted less, I reckon.

Yes it could but why would a full German national hijack a polish reg truck to do it?

As for Merkel, she is the German leader so why not?
We don't know the full facts and a terrorist can be of any nationality . They can be home grown as 7/7 proved.

To be honest, I don't understand your argument. It's late and the cricket is on soon so I'm ready to sob as it is, I can't cope with any more DS today!

Don't mind me, Jane. It's late and I'm tired too.

Enjoy the cricket.
