Don't mind me, Jane. It's late and I'm tired too.

Enjoy the cricket.
There's going to be no enjoyment! We're taking a real kicking.

it`s goad, gaud is flashy as in gaudy.

it`s been driving me mad, sorry.
I know, I've been reading through (well, reading bits) and shouting 'goad' at the screen

We don't know the full facts and a terrorist can be of any nationality . They can be home grown as 7/7 proved.
Even Swiss!

A gunman in Switzerland opened fire on a prayer hall of a Mosque, injuring several people. http://abc7ny.com/news/gunman-opens-...enter/1663645/

"Authorities weren't considering the attack as terrorism, he said. Police also said it was too early to determine whether there might be any link to an incident in Berlin also on Monday, where a truck rammed into a Christmas market, killing at least nine people."

I find the bib rather strange!

I read the Swiss have the highest rate of gun ownership in the world and the lowest gun crime, someone even said it was illegal not to have one - not sure if that's true.

These guys in the mosque obviously didn't, odd reversal of fortune then, right winger revenge spree, perhaps.

The unknown person fired several shots and fled from the building
How do you know the person was Swiss? Unless it was just speculation? Which we aren't allowed to make according to the first 7 pages of this thread.

'Driver came to Germany in February as refugee from Pakistan'
Posted at

The man suspected of driving the truck which killed nine people came from Pakistan to Germany on 16 February 2016 as a refugee, Welt (in German) reports sources as saying. But there is no independent confirmation of this claim.

Maggie
What a surprise! But if anyone had dare mention it was a person of Asian /muslim decent they would have been screemed down. That doesn't mean all Muslims are bad but any terrorists attack is going to be 99% Muslim related.
And remember when a certain Mr farage said this would happen and got shouted down by the do Gooders ! He was right! And Angela merkal should stand trial.

we dont feel safe in any country now as well as our own

My, what an unusual stance for someone over 50. Not.

I can't see why anyone is surprised at this mass murder.

http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/v...psvss3cu16.jpg

The person who did it was only doing what his holy book instructs him to do. I blame Angela Merkal, and all in her government for letting him into Germany, and in-directly all the Germans who voted for her, hope they don't repeat that mistake next year.

Yeah, because the last time some land in the Middle East was taken off locals and given to others that worked out well didn't it?

That there are nutters in the world of any and all ethnicity and religion? What a shame they don't all look the same so we could make this round-up and forced encampment you want easier. Should we surround it with a giant wall?

What is the point of these people doing this, they must be mentally ill?

If they are really doing it for isis, then why, it doesn't achieve anything, a solo attack isn't going to wipe out germany...
The purpose is clear. To produce discussions and sentiments exactly like this thread. To create fear and terror and challenge our way of life and values. To make people hate and reject anyone connected with Islam; which hatred and fear and rejection fuels more fundamentalism. The reactions that are plastered all over the right-wing tabloid media - the level of reaction to this as against four babies freezing to death in Aleppo; all of this is EXACTLY what these people want.

This will do Merkel's prospects in next years GE the world of good - the stupid naive woman. It's quite pitiful watching and listening to the BBC(and ITV these days) trying it's best to play down/ignore/not mention where the culprit came from.

What an awful night last night. The guy was a migrant but he wasn't even from Syria. I don;t know why migrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries that aren't at war are being allowed to stay that long. They should've been repatriated earlier.

Another 12 innocent people killed who were simply enjoying a evening out.

We are living in such terrible times and unfortunately things will only get worse as the people in power who are meant to protect us have brought these scum to our very shores.

Does anybody actually still live in Poland as a group of us got on a coach to Stratford Upon Avon a few weeks ago and I was generally amazed at the fact 90% of the bus was filled with Polish people going to Coventry and every other person in London is now Polish.
