For one I'm glad he's dead. I won't mourn for him. I also hope a woman cop killed him so his comrades think he won't go to paradise. He's going to get one almighty shock if there's really a hell as that's where he's gone.

Presumably Schengen makes cross border travel that much easier.

Would our resident conspiracy theorist care to explain why this innocent dupe of the establishment was doing in possession of a gun which he chose to pull on the Italian police. Was he in training to be part of the refugee shooting team at The next Olympics?

Apparently this guy was able to leave Germany and cross into France and Italy unchallenged whilst in possession of a loaded gun.

Now that''s scary.

Of course - cos there are no border controls at all.

Unfortunately, it wasn't. Two male cops.

One was shot in the shoulder and is being treated in hospital.

It appears it was a routine patrol at 3am their time, and stopped Amri because he looked suspicious. As soon as stopped, he pulled a gun and fired, injuring one of the officers in the shouder, and was instantly shot dead.

Why is it scary?

Just this post alone shows you get all your info 2nd 3rd and 4th hand.

Real Muslims are no different from British men. You get arseholes in all walks of life Ive met more controlling British men than Muslims ones. This is why you need to find out the truth for yourself. If you went to meet some you would feel very silly for your brainwashed ways

We assume this was they guy who committed the act but then they got it wrong first time.

Why is it so hard to believe he managed to travel around at least three countries armed with a pistol? There are no border check between Italy, France and Germany at all - you wouldn't have to show a passport or ID so why would you be asked to produce your gun by authorities?

One would have thought that with an armed terrorist on the run some sort of extra effort would have been made on the borders, but apparently not.

wonder if he intentionally avoided transit thru Austria/Switzerland as they supposedly have better security?

Several, why? Muslims have lived in this country for a very long time. I'm ancient and have many Muslim friends and ex-work associates. If anyone is genuinely interested in integration, getting to know their Muslim community, they're a good place to start.

Much the same applies to the Jewish, Hindus and Sikhs who also mainly choose to live in their own areas and not socialise in general. I've never been aware of being made to adapt to anything or change my way of life.
We can only agree to disagree

Sadly, I wouldn't expect any other response

His ISIS handler in Germany won't be shedding any tears - it's one less to worry about!”

He was probably determined to get himself shot and his handlers will be relieved about the intelligence gone with him. Exactly what they aim for.

Where did I say, or even imply this?

We are talking about this piece of scum, whom you were sympathising with. Very questionable, in my opinion.

Pffffft but real muslims ARE different to British men. Very different as the vast majority live by the koran. They treat women differently than British men do. No British man has insisted I cover my face when I go out for starters. Oh and yes I'm aware there are British muslims, I'm just answering your post. When I find a British boyfriend who makes me wear a burka or a balaclava in public or if male vistors come to visit I'll eat my words on here.

Well, not sure "scary" is the right word, but I'd certainly say it's concerning that potentially he could have travelled undetected to Southern Europe coastal waters and across to North Africa, or to South East Europe and into Syria/Iraq.

I couldnt care less that we have one less piece of scum . My concern is that he travelled in Europe on a train with a gun in his bag . My daughter could have been sat next to him .
Anyone we feels anything but hate and disgust for this scumbag might attend a funeral of one of his victims and see the raw pain and sadness he has caused . Personally my biggest concern is that he was denied asylum and known to the police and still allowed roam the streets putting my relatives at danger .

Well let's see. The man was suspected of killing 12 people with malice of forethought and planning. He then fled the scene duly armed and was able to pass into France and board a train completely unchecked, whilst in possession of a loaded gun. Whilst he was possibly the most wanted man in Europe.

He then entered a third country and was stopped only by chance after which he chose to open fire on the police. Now surely I'm not the only one who is considering that the passengers on that train had a lucky escape should this guy have decided that he wanted another taste of Jihad during the journey.

Does it not concern you even in the slightest that an armed terrorist was able to cross at least two borders in Europe unchecked?

I think his actions, and what we know show his guilt. This is a good result, and predictable.

The only downside is that there are plenty more like him waiting to carry out the next murderous act.

You are a bit rubbish at quoting from memory

A "suspect" isn't yet guilty of anything. To say "good" even when you have no idea if the person was guilty or not shows me how uncaring some people are. Lets remember many innocent people have been killed by the armed forces and the police over the years.

I compared the hatred of some people on here for Muslims to the holocaust and how a country was persuaded to hate a huge population .

Don't think so. The Italian police got lucky. They weren't looking for him. It was just a chance encounter.

conflicting reports about the details of the shoot out, so hard to say.
clearly he wanted to avoid arrest /stay alive . so it's equally possible he was headed for an Italian ISIS connection and planning on more attacks in the future.

Quote:
“Two officers asked him for ID documents, at which point Amri pulled a gun from his backpack and shot one of the policemen in the shoulder.
A firefight ensued at about 3am local time, with Amri taking cowering behind a car as he tried to flee, but the suspect was shot and killed by the other officer – a trainee who had only been in the job a few months.”

He was guilty of aiming and shooting a policeman . It matters not a jot who he was , he pulled a gun and shot a police and he shot him back .End of story . It could have been anyones son yes but if my son pulled a gun and shot a policeman I would see it as totally justified that he was shot back .You live like scum , you die like scum ]
It so happens they shot the scum that caused so much pain and thats a bonus .
