What colour is the sky in your reality?
Well it's different to the people who excitedly post "was it teh muslims that Merkel let in" as soon as something's happened, with the hope that it is.

According to Bild, the driver has been arrested and a "co-driver" is dead.

It's now confirmed as an attack.

What a ****** surprise the evil bastards.
Terrorist bastards, or lone bastard nutter? Although I'd say it's more probable then not, that he won't have a name like Schmidt or Bauer. I may be wrong though, just a hunch.

Driver arrested though, apparently.

Bloke on sky banging on about "Frau Merkel" and how she'll be responsible if it's an immigrant who was driving.

The problem with Sky News, as well as almost every other news channel these days, is that they want it to be terrorists, and the quicker they can jump on the bandwagon the more visitors they will receive. Ker-ching!
Police are saying it WAS a deliberate attack.

Should it not be reported by any news channel, from your viewpoint?

Sadly for you we have free speech in this country and people are free to speculate.
People are certainly free to indulge in mindless speculation, but that still doesn't make it in any way useful.

The driver is on the run. It's not the first incident involving a Xmas market. A 12 year old boy tried to detonate a bomb at a Xmas market last month in Germany. I do not "want" it to be a terror attack but I think it was ISIS. It's such a cowardly way to kill people. I think we will see more truck attacks as it's an easy way to kill and maim for someone without bomb making skills or access to guns. I'm always aware of and wary of vehicles in London for this very reason following a previous truck attack in Europe. I doubt it was an accident due to a "driver falling ill" as he is said to have fled. Those poor innocent people who were buying gifts and food for Xmas. It's an appalling act of cowardice to drive a truck into people.

BBC is always so delayed and behind compared to other news outlets

It's like the Southern Rail of TV Networks
I know. They always are. Even when Reuters etc have updated

Typical DS drooling for it to be a Muslim terrorist attack so it can fuel their prejducies and allow for more Islam bashing.
I'm not sure it's prejudiced to condemn religious fanatics who want to mow down and pulp everyone from babies in pushchairs to grannies. There wouldn't be any 'fuelling' if Islamic nutters weren't out and about regularly doing their thing.

If it is a Muslim terrorist attack (your words) it will go on an ever-growing list of such atrocities inflicted on people, including other Muslims, out and about peacefully enjoying themselves.

Anyway, terrible pictures of that lorry with bits of Christmas tree and decorations tangled on its radiator and broken windscreen.

Dermot Munaghan (Sky presenter) said he was in this very market 3 weeks ago and there was tension that this market was being targetted in this specific type of attack.

But Europol failed to intercept the attack with their intelligence at hand

What? Man on Sky banging on that if the Authorities knew that it was likely that there was to be an attack on Christmas Markets, then all Christmas Markets should be shut! By that logic, if a group of terrorists suggest that there will be on attack on, say, a football match or on a railway station, then all stadiums or stations are closed until the supposed threat is over.

I am a little shell shocked as was meant to be on a trip to these same Christmas Markets with an old friend but she fell ill so we didn't go

Feel desperately sorry for the affected people and their families.

Emma Rushton British tourist: Sky News

We were 8 feet away. there,s no doubt it was deliberate. Truck was driving through market at 40 miles an hour.

We heard a bang and saw xmas lights being pulled down, everything went dark.

We were very lucky we went into some booths upstairs, people were screaming, yelling, stalls were crushed.

It wasn't an accident, it was going in the middle of the market & showed no signs of slowing down.

Police said 9 have died.
Sounds horrendous.
Its terrorism all right.
