Yes, you can get it fast or you can get it right.

Didn't they say they suspected that it was deliberate? Of course, they can't possibly know until they find out, which basically means asking the driver.

Of course the news should be reported. I never suggested otherwise. What I said is that most news outlets have a vested interest in jumping to conclusions. That is a fact, isn't it?

What I also suggested is that we ought to wait before making assumptions, but apparently that's a ludicrous suggestion.

The two aren't mutually exclusive, as much as the BBC might like you to think they are.

Isn't that exactly what these murderers want? Jeez, they'll be cancelling all Christian celebrations to keep them happy.

I rolled my eyes at his captain hindsight ranting as well. May as well ban shopping and being out in public altogether with his logic!

There are no words that would even come close to describe what a truly awful and heartbreaking situation this is. Innocent people going about their day, at the time of year that makes people happy and full of festive cheer.

For whatever reason behind the lorry incident, those innocent souls have lost their lives, and many have injuries. My thoughts are with that have died, for those that are injured, and for the loved ones of all of those involved.

The BBC believe in caution and wait for independent verification of information before broadcasting unlike some other news channels. That may appear ponderous but it does mean that any information given is correct rather than speculative

When I read that article I was quite worried as my cousin and family are over in Germany until early Wednesday morning until they return to UK as they are all visiting a Christmas German market and you know what I actually thought. But I did manage to contact him and the market he's visiting is in Düsseldorf. I was absolutely relieved as I feared the worst.

Forgive my bluntness, but that is patently bullshit. It's also against forum T&Cs to attack other FMs so I suggest you wind your neck in.

The police SUSPECT it was deliberate ≠ the police have CONFIRMED it was a terrorist attack.

One or two aspects are puzzling, especially the driver being reportedly arrested. Normally these terrorists launch an attack with the clear intention of dying in the incident.

Means nothing. They could easily have hired a truck from anywhere in the EU.

Edit.....Polish owner of lorry says the lorry was stolen according to SKY

Depends on how a vehicle crashes surely. It appears that the passenger in the vehicle did die in the crash

The owner of the company reckons the truck was hijacked and it wasn't his drivers involved in this.

One of these bits of scum, in the Paris attacks, seemed to change his mind about blowing himself up and fled the scene. (iirc)

i prefer to get the pondered over the speculative, reading an ever changing stream is too messy.

The owner of the truck company says he lost contact with the driver (his own cousin) at 4pm. Wonder if that's the dead person in the cab.
