What's with all the hate towards EastEnders?

There (obviously) has always been hate for the show, However since SOC took over the role of EP most people were excited then as soon as his Episodes came out the hate came in. I want to point out that a few people not all but a few are just total hypocrites who asked for what SOC is giving during DTC's tenure and ever since SOC stepped foot in the door they continue complaining and NOW ask for DTC to return. It is great to have an opinion and to criticise a show where it has gone wrong, But i just don't get why people purposely hate on a show even if it was a good quality episode. People seem to always want the opposite of what the current (and past) EP's have been doing...

So what is the reason for the constant hate?

because people were spoilt under DTC's constant shocks and over the top drama, i much prefer the show now under SOC

There seems to be hate for this show every time a new exec takes over. They're always the worst exec since ... well, since the last one.

Exactly. CS and ED are NEVER AS BAD as the EE community are when a new exec or drastic changes happen. Tonight's episode was great and at a time like Christmas community led story-lines are the best for the run up to Christmas. Like someone else said people have been spoilt under DTC and I would argue the 2 before were just as bad and we need to go back to the shows roots with a modern twist.

Hopefully it dies down.

Because it deserves it. The show is terrible right now.

Why don't you for once give a detailed description of what's so bad huh? Or are you just hating on the show for no valid reason?

I Like SOC he bought the community feeling back while the other Producers turned all families against each other. Its actually nice to see EE shown realism because the other soaps are becoming far fetched.

Even though Ronnie is about to get drowned by her own wedding dress whilst trying to save her already drowned sister ?

Different people like different things therefore it matters not what any of the soaps do they will always be heavily criticised by somebody, if you're enjoying it great ignore those criticising it. Those criticising it may be fans or trolls. Fans are entitled to criticise if they are true fans and praise as well as criticise, the rest are trolls imo.

I am still not convinced on SOC, however I thought tonight's episode was beautiful and one of the best of recent times.

Well its not confirmed from the BBC until they confirm it themselves i won't believe it because its just speculation from papers and paper never refused ink

and wasn't it reported that there were doing 15 endings for them? if true then how the hell does the papers know about their ending becuase that could be one of them

It's human nature. People always complain far more readily than they praise.
(a) it makes them feel better, and
(b) they want to check that others feel the same way.
People who are happy with something don't tend to need that validation.

That's because if anything those shows are more about the characters, so when characters are misguided or go off track it's very noticeable. With EE it's a completely different kettle of fish

But look at it compared to the other soaps. There's hardly anything going on and there is far too much love and warmth.

That's exactly why some are vocal about their disinterest, it doesnt really fit with what it's been about at least for the past 10-15 years

Quality post Aar, I could have wrote it myself. I probably did according to some members.

Thanks.
