In a different reality, there'd be no problem, but sadly we don't live in that type of world, unfortunately.”

I'd throw a bloke out in a heartbeat and depending on his attitude, may well give him a bit of a pasting.

In this hypothetical situation, I'd want to know

1 Is She Hot
2 Did anyone see her come in
3 Do I have a cellar
4 and a patio
?

Hypothetically.

1. Yes.
2. No.
3. Yes.
4. Yes.

What do you do now?

Has anyone suggest drawing clown eyebrows, glasses and a moustache on her yet?

Maybe because I don't drink but I would not tolerate someone breaking and entering my home just because they were drunk,

I'd be throwing a bucket of water over them, then kicking the woman out, physically if needed.
I wouldn't wait for any police, my dog would do the same job frankly.

That would teach her not to get so freaking drunk that she hasn't a clue what she's doing, might even save her life later, cos she should be lucky I wasn't a murderer.

Indeed, so then this lady wonders the streets aimlessly until she finds a nice hedge to fall into or is mugged/assaulted/raped in an alley way or in a drivers car.

1) Yes she is drunk
2) She shouldn't be in my house
3) She is an adult
4) I will call the Police
5) Could I be of help?
6) What will happen to her, if I throw her out?

it'd be amazing... I don't have a sofa at the moment.

Like someone said in the youtube comments, this lady is very lucky to find a calm forgiving family in the house.

I'd call the police, and I'd call a neighbour too, partly as a witness to events and partly for a bit of muscle if things got nasty. My biggest concern would be that if she could get in the house while I was out, who else could be in there too?

I certainly wouldn't be standing there engaging her in lengthy get out of my house/no/get out of my house/no conversation while the prospect existed that she could be creating a distraction for somebody more menacing lurking upstairs harbouring sinister motives.

I guess, in the situation shown in the video, they didn't want to be accused at all of manhandling or assaulting her so didn't want to lay hands on her.

They've broken intro your house. What question is it you have for them?”

bib - can you show me how you got in so that I can properly secure my house from a person who seems incapable of proper thought and speech yet found it easy to enter what I thought was a secure home. That seems a good question for starters

Looking at it from that perspective, they've done you a favour showing you how easy it is to enter your house even when completely stoned

Seriously, police, police, police, police

unless I'm also drunk, then we have the makings of an 80s Yuppie Nightmare Comedy

I wouldn't lay a finger on her and wouldn't let my neighbour do either, but my immediate concern would be protecting myself from the unknown rather than protecting myself from the law. Until proven otherwise, I'd have to assume from the outset that she wasn't the only intruder and if the law thinks that's anything less than common sense then I was probably never going to win with it anyway

Yes that's something we Brits, including me, forget. In the US get a safe distance away and call the police.

She could have fallen asleep in the house of a rapist as far as she is aware.

By me throwing water over her, it will hopefully sober her up rather quickly, but more importantly she would have hopefully learnt a lesson by not getting so drunk she had no idea what she was doing.

Thankfully that doesn't generally happen in the UK, maybe in the US.

It would not sober her up at all. It would potentially startle her, put her on her guard, and make the situation worse. Well done.

Worse than waking up in a house of someone who could potentially be dangerous?

I may be harsh yes, but frankly if you're stupid enough to drink yourself into such a stupor then you deserve to be startled with a cold bucket of water frankly.

What lesson is she going to learn with a softly softly approach? I'd rather she learn the first time than risk her thinking it was ok to do it again.

Oops missed that bit.

I'd ring the police if she wouldn't give anyone's number to call, certainly not put her out. She's clearly incapable of being responsible for herself.
They annoyed me more than her, spending an age posturing with threats and argument with someone so out of it.
