Emmerdale Leyla
Just wondering what everyone thought of her behaviour at the moment?
I personally can't believe her attitude right now, she is acting like a totally entitled b*tch. I know that Tracy and her pairing with David is not overly popular on these forums, but I don't get why anyone would ever have the nerve to be so meddling in their friends marriage, she goes out of her way to upset Tracy, to make her feel insecure and insignificant, she tries to drive a wedge between them and then has the cheek to get upset and offended when she is asked to move out. I have a cousin in real life who married someone I am not fond off but if I ever acted the way Leyla does my cousin would never speak to me again- rightly so tbh |

I've never Leyla - she's always been a bit up herself, she looks down on Tracey which when you consider she was a pole dancer is a bit rich!. I like Tracey and David together.

I love Tracy and David together I really think they work as a couple, I also like leyla so I'm very disappointed with her, I don't even understand why she is doing it ? She tried to stop them marrying and failed so what does she think she will achieve now ?

I asbolutely love Leyla, so I don't really care much what she does, though I wasn't overfond of that affair with Jai.
Plus, I don't give a monkey's about David and Tracey and I don't buy their romance at all, so I equally don't care if she breaks them up - she'd be doing us a favour, though I'd rather they just faded from the screen completely. Go Leyla! |

I couldn't agree more. I love Leyla too. Tracy and David are a poor couple, so I don't care if they break up
![]() She's just so funny. Those scenes with Nikhil where she was delirious and telling him they should get married were some of my faves of last year. |

From what I recall it was Tracy's father whom Layla had a problem with at first this then led to Tracy having words with Layla and thus started the bickering.
I quite like Layla and Pete together but Tracy has ruined this now by setting Layla up to look like some crazy bunny boiler and people on here are actually calling Layla the bitch??? Layla spurted out about David's doubts after she was pushed by a bickering Tracy and I personally don't blame her.

I think Tracy genuinely wanted to help, it went wrong because she had misunderstood the situation but her heart was in the right place, something you can't accuse Layla of having is a heart in the right place when she said David had second thoughts.

She did it out of revenge since she figured out that Leyla sabotaged the order. |

I disagree. It came across to me that she wanted rid of Leyla because Leyla wanted rid of her Dad.

I quite like Tracy now and I wish that people were easier on her. When she first joined, she was awful, but she has been really good lately. She was a great friend to David when he needed one, she's good with Jacob and now, she's a good character. She isn't scamming people or being nasty in general, yet some characters still act like she's awful. Leyla is being a bitch.

Is Leyla one of those who sees other women as competition for ' her' man? I' m beginning to suspect she is. Did she really expect David to take her side over his wife? Why has she not thought of Jacob in all this? She' s coming out of this story very badly indeed.

I like Tracy, and Leyla is coming across really badly. She needs to take a step back and check herself.

Agreed, OP. I can't stand Leyla right now, mind you I've never liked her very much. I hated her equally back when she was playing around with that plank Jai behind Megan's back. Just an awful, obnoxious and entitled character.
Her treatment of Tracy is annoying to watch and I'm surprised she hasn't received a huge slap in the face for her pathetic behaviour. It's like she expects David to pick her over his own wife. He has a right to tell her to leave HIS house. It's laughable that she thinks it's normal to be living with her ex and his new wife . She'll end up on the Jeremy Kyle Show if she's not careful. I can just imagine it now: "My Ex-Boyfriend Kicked Me Out and His Wife Is To Blame" |

She did it out of revenge since she figured out that Leyla sabotaged the order. I thought Leyla worked so well with Nikhil and since he left the writers don't seem to know what to do with her. Altering that order was so wrong but I can completely understand her wanting to get rid of Frank who must be such an annoying person to have in the house and, after all as has now been accepted, she is Jacob's mother and does not want Frank influencing him. |

Why did Leyla sabotage the order though? It was pretty nasty and the person who suffered most was David! If she had proven that he was trying to con David, I might support her, but all she did was almost lose the guy his job on the basis that he didn' t double check the order. Pretty awful, when he's s trying to make a new start.
I don't agree with her changing the order. She should have just sat down and discussed the matter with Frank. Tracy did what she did because she wanted to get rid of Leyla after that Christmas trees ordeal. I don't understand why she immediately suspected Leyla since we haven't seen anything suggesting that Leyla disliked Frank (before this ridiculous storyline). The whole thing has been a mess and badly done. What was the point? Apart from Leyla moving out, there was no point whatsoever in this storyline. I feel like they don't really know what to do with Leyla. She has been all over the place. One minute she is in love with and supportive of Pete, the next she seems to have feelings for David and "keeping her options open" and then she wants to move in with Pete. Her relationship with Pete has been so poorly developed. We have hardly seen anything of it. Are they a proper couple or just dating? And then we have what's coming with him and Moira soon. The whole thing is confusing. |

I do agree with this and cannot see any chemistry at all between her and David. I would be very pleased if she left for good but that is obviously not going to happen!

Agree they've not known how to use her, apart from being very funny when she's given the chance. It looked for a while as if they might put her back with Jai, but that was another one of Kate Oates's stories that went nowhere. Thankfully, in that case. She's really wasted, as far as I'm concerned. |

She changed the order because she wanted David to kick Frank out since he was being a bad influence on Jacob. Mind you all of this started with Eric. He was the one who planted those thoughts in Leyla's head. She didn't have a problem with him before.
