VINTAGE - Desk from 1960s
A strange desk from the 1960s :
http://isabelcostasixties.tumblr.com...68490646#notes Anyone any idea what this was ? Record decks in filing cabinets ? Is this just a mock-up or a hospital radio system ? That chair would never pass Health and Safety these days ! |

I just wonder if it's French in origin. There's what looks like a Croix de Lorraine on the desk.

That would be a vile desk to sit at for any length of time. |

Also known as the "Patriarchal Cross" - an Eastern church thing. You see it in Hungary. On the other hand, it could just be something to hang the coffee cups from.
That would be a vile desk to sit at for any length of time. But no clues have yet emerged about the story behind this desk.... Thanks for the observations... |
