Oh, he also blames Merkel for the deaths in Berlin.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics...-politics-live

es, well of course he would know more about extremists than me, Mr Cox. He backs organisations like Hope Not Hate who masquerade as being lovely and peaceful but actually pursue violent and very undemocratic means. And I’m sorry Mr Cox, but it is time people started to take responsibility for what’s happened. Mrs Merkel has directly caused a whole number of social and terrorist problems in Germany. It is about time we confronted that truth.

When Ferrari put it to Farage that Cox had suffered more from extremism then anyone, Farage replied:

Yes, it’s a terrible thing what happened to his family, with the murder of his wife, but he continues to be active in the political arena. And given some of the organisations he supports, I can’t just stand here and say I’m not going to respond.

Laying responsibility for his wife's death on Cox's door is a new low even for Farage. I expect the Faragistes will be along soon enough to explain it all away.

I heard the Ferrari/Farage interchange this morning on the radio. It was sickening. Farage's comments were repulsive and Ferrari's sycophancy pitiful. It was not the best example of responsible radio. Ferrari should be ashamed of himself. Farage has no shame, he is a nasty little self-publicist and rabble rouser.

LBC is such a naff station, but then it's Global.

Ferrari/Farage meld into one. As ghastly as each other.

Fair comment from Farage, if Cox is active on the political scene he will have to put up with those who disagree with him. The fact that his wife was murdered does not make him an expert on anything.

This is what happens when this type of politician is given enough rope.

Give him time, he's not hung himself yet. Getting there, though.

He's right about Hope Not Hate though. A vile ironically named organisation with some very dodgy members. It's why I donated money to the Royal Voluntary Service and the White Hats directly rather than the JO Cox Foundation itself as I didn't what "Hope Not Hate" getting a penny of my money.

And who made Farage an expert on apportioning blame? This is not about disagreeing with Cox, but blaming his politics for causing deaths - he may say Jo Cox's death as a terrible thing but he is justifying it retrospectively..

Oh, but he's a loveable rogue who drinks beer and smokes fags, and just "says it like it is". Let's not be too harsh on him.

Why do you deliberately give posts a title that is dishonest and not supported by the quote you then give?

Farage did not say Farage brands Brendan Cox an extremist what he said was Yes, well of course he would know more about extremists than me, Mr Cox

You can be informed about extremists without being an extremist yourself which is basically what Farage was saying IMO

so if anyone is playing politics here it is you not Farage

Nice try at deflection, but to all and everyone not under Farage's Pied Piper spell, it's blindingly obvious what is going on here.

Farage IS an extremist.

He did not imply this. He explicitly stated it.

No one has ever claimed that Farage is an expert on apportioning blame but Farage is entitled to his opinions just as you and I are.
