Favourite Carry On Films?
Hi everyone!
I recently started a thread on DS about James Bond films. This got me thinking and, for some reason, I thought of the Carry On films and what everyones' favourites of that series are. Again, I apologise if this thread has been done before. I thought that, for the sake of fairness, your lists should include only your personal favourite top 10 Carry On Films. This should give you plenty of choices of what to include in your lists. Anyway, my top 10 Carry On Films are, in order of release, Cleo Cowboy Screaming Don't Lose Your Head Doctor Up The Khyber Camping Again Doctor Loving Henry I love most of the other Carry On films, but these are the ones that I watch the most frequently. Anyway, it's over to you... |

And are they any good as no one has mentioned them yet ![]() I'm a big Phil Silvers fan, so I have a soft spot for "Camel", though it's frankly not great... "Regardless" is a bit of a mish-mash, more a series of loosely-connected sketches than a real story, so it doesn't get much love, though it's amiable enough... I always think of the Carry Ons in 3 loose "phases" - the Sitcoms (Sergeant to Cabby), the Costume Capers (Jack to Khyber), and the Double-Entendre-fests (Camping onwards), and I enjoy most of them, but my favourites all come from '63-'68: Screaming Cleo Khyber Spying Cabby |

I enjoy all of them but I particularly like the ones where they take on a film genre or a time in history.

Cleo is my favourite. I think it's the best.
I think Up the Khyber is pretty good as well. I'd put Cowboy, Convenience and Cabby further down the list. |
