Carry On Screaming is bay far one of the best, it stuck to the original horror theme,
Carry on CONVIENIENCE was just a laugh a min with its factory and loos. |

For me, there is an almost uninterrupted run of the very best 'Carry On' films starting from Cleo in 1964 and then Cowboy (1965), Screaming (1966) Don't Lose your Head (1966) Doctor (1967) Up the Khyber (1968) and Camping (1969)
I wouldn't put Follow that Camel (1967) and Again Doctor (1969) at the same level of quality as the above. I have a soft spot for Carry on Loving (1970) as when I was growing up it seemed to be very rarely shown on TV. Think it was the mid 80s that I first saw it. Matron and Abroad are the two best 70s ones. |

Any of those without Barbara Windsor in.
Favourite though has to be Carry on Constable. The very character names of Constable Constable and Policewoman Passworthy crack me up! Teacher has a special place in my heart as well. |

Carry on Abroad, with the classic "tried it once and didn't like it" scene.

Carry On Cleo and Screaming. Partly because I find these two to be the funniest anyway, and partly because they look very much like the kinds of movies they're spoofing. Cleo had the advantage of using leftover sets and costumes from the Burton/Taylor vehicle, and the series' director of photography Alan Hume had worked on an Hammer horror movie so he knew how to capture that look for Screaming. That attention to detail on both movies just adds to the enjoyment of them.
Like a couple of others have said, Barbara Windsor been in neither helps too. Never liked her. |
