I caught a glimpse of Julian Clary hosting one of these 'best of' shows last night, i think it was TV Ads but didn't linger. It was hard to reconcile the face I saw with the one I remembered from not too long ago. He appears to have swollen and become made of plastic. I really thought, for a few moments, that he was CGI'd rather than a live person.
Has he been ill recently?

I thought the same. He seems to have changed dramatically in a very short period of time.

I always thought that without makeup, he was an extremely good looking chap.

I like him, but he hardly ever seems to appear on TV these days (unless I'm watching the wrong things). Think he's sometimes up at the Fringe with his shows?

I saw a bit of the show last night and he was smothered in foundation that was way too dark for him. I love Julian though and his one liners during the half hour i watched the show were better than the adverts.

I thought it was to much botox but hope it is what you say. I didn't watch the show last night but will catch up later in the week.

I am a massive fan of Julian and wish he was on tv more. His books are very funny.

I think its just ageing. He is 57 now..... Its noticeable because he hasn't had much exposure on tv for many years, mainly due to that hilarious Norman Lamont joke.
The crap he took for that joke was totally unfair.

I'd almost forgotten he was a writer too, Devil in Disguise was great.

I met him and Graham Norton in a bar at the Edinburgh Festival years ago. I'm not really an autograph person (unless it's Girls Aloud), and this was before camera phones and selfies. However my friend was keen to get their autographs. The only thing he had with him was a paperback of Frederick Forsyth's The Odessa File.

I cannot be sure, but I reckon my friend must have the only copy of The Odessa File in the world signed by Julian Clary and Graham Norton.

I saw him close up when he was doing his Joy of Mincing tour earlier this year and he looked fine to me. He looks pretty good for his age.

I thought fillers and botox too as soon as I saw him. So many celebrities seem to end up looking like their faces are made of plastic which is a shame.

I seem to remember him presenting a natural history type show about a year or so back which I forget the name of now, but was quite entertaining. Not seen much of him on telly since mind you.

What a strange idea for a programme that was, but congratulations to whoever persuading the channel controllers that it was a viable concept.

On the face of it, it seemed all wrong, yet it turned out to be one of the most entertaining programmes on TV during the time it was on.

He was interviewed a while ago by a local journalist, and when, rather proudly, he said 'I live in Noel Coward's house,' she misheard him and wrote that he lives 'in an old council house'. Poor Julian.
