I seem to remember him presenting a natural history type show about a year or so back which I forget the name of now, but was quite entertaining. Not seen much of him on telly since mind you.
I remember that. It had nuts or something in the title. A wildlife type programme and yes he was very funny in it.

Edit. Natures Nuts on ITV.

I love Julian, and he looks great for 57, but he has been over doing the botox, and he really doesn't need it.

I thought the same. He seems to have changed dramatically in a very short period of time.

I always thought that without makeup, he was an extremely good looking chap
.
This.
Busy appearing in panto at the Palladium at the moment.

............. and forgot to take off the make up! I hated the make up, it was so heavy, especially the 'elongated eyes' make up, really did nothing for him. I really like Julian, but the only person I have ever seen who actually looked good in make up was Adam Ant!

I caught a glimpse of Julian Clary hosting one of these 'best of' shows last night, i think it was TV Ads but didn't linger. It was hard to reconcile the face I saw with the one I remembered from not too long ago. He appears to have swollen and become made of plastic. I really thought, for a few moments, that he was CGI'd rather than a live person.
Has he been ill recently?
I'm sure he would love to make a joke from this

I think its just ageing. He is 57 now..... Its noticeable because he hasn't had much exposure on tv for many years, mainly due to that hilarious Norman Lamont joke.
The crap he took for that joke was totally unfair.
When I have seen him on TV recently he's been pretty rubbish. Most of his act is double-entendres, which gets old fast, and being gay/effeminate, which as a culture we've largely moved past as a source of humour. I think like a lot of comedians, he had a limited amount of good material which had served him well on stage, but which TV got through quickly, and then his new material wasn't up to scratch. I can understand why panel shows book new comedians over him.
