No

Sound of Music ( not on BBC).
No
Mary Poppins ( not on BBC).

Assume it's down to who has the rights to show films.

Pretty certain that with IMDb help I could name thousands of Christmas films that aren't on this year. Not sure I see the point though.

You do love picking on people don't you Baz? I only mentioned it as it's been on pretty much every year since it was first on terrestrial tv.

The question is, will ITV2 show Miss Congeniality 1 or 2 ?

Is the Pope a muslim ?

F*** me, I swear they have actually shown it twice in one day.

Be very careful, if you mention that, or how many times Harry Potter has been in, the Forum Police, will descend.

Are they on over the new year instead? I've watched both every year they've been shown almost, it's one of my Christmas traditions, really cross their not on this time

Mary Poppins is on one of the Sky Movies channels at 3.45 on Christmas Day.

Am I right in thinking this is the first time since it premiered Christmas 1984 that it hasn't been on BBC1 over the Christmas/New Year period?

Even though I have it on dvd and have the Sky Movie channels....I traditionally watch it every year on terrestrial television at Christmas and have done since I was a little kid.

Don't think it is now you mention. I haven't noticed it in the listings.

The Living Daylights, tonight, 9.00pm ITV4
Tomorrow Never Dies, Thursday 22nd, 9.00pm ITV4
Casino Royale, Friday 23rd, 9.00pm and Wednesday 28th, 9.00pm, both ITV2
Quantum Of Solace, Christmas Eve, 9.00pm and Thursday 28th, 8.00pm, both ITV2
Skyfall, Tuesday 27th, 9.00pm and New Years Day, 8.00pm, both ITV2

Spectre, Christmas Eve, Sky Action, 8.35am and 8.00pm, Boxing Day at 1.10pm and 9.00pm on Sky Hits, and Tuesday 27th 11.00am and 8.00pm on Sky Greats.

As to ITV showing films twice in one day, Love Actually is on ITV at 11.00pm Christmas Eve, so spills over into Boxing Day when it's on ITV2 at 9.00pm, or you can catch it again on ITV2 on Friday 30th at 9.00pm.

With all the hype about Mary Poppins 2 coming out in two years time I'm surprised the channels didn't pick it up this year

I was shocked to see ITV running the Harry Potter films. They hardly ever show those

I don't have Sky movies, I don't have Sky full stop, I have the basic freeview channels and a small cheap freesat box for picking up itv3 as it won't work on the the main telly and that's it. I don't have it on DVD either, never bothered getting it as its normally on every Christmas so I saw no need to. Like you, I have watched it as a tradition every year on the main TV since I was little and the same goes for Sound of Music. Going to miss them this year.

I don't think it is on, I've had a quick look at the main FTA channels and I can't see it.
