I like the cast size as it is = with R&R, Babe and Lee going and 'Chelle and Emerald arriving I think that should be it for now - all soaps have suffered from large casts and I think it is time for smaller casts as we had years ago.
With Michelle back we need Kat or Jean back to even up the Fowler/Slater ratio. I'd love to see what Michelle makes of them. Then there's big Mo.😊

Even then it would feel old and boring. Hollyoaks always feels fresh (and is the best soap IMO) partly because it has so many new characters (14 this year).
Emmerdale is alright with Rebecca and a few others this year.
Corrie doesn't really have any new regulars but it has lots of important recurring characters which make it seem slightly better.
