For Pete's sake STV
On STV EDinburgh you show Take the High Road, which was made in 4:3. Why is it in 16:9 'fatty-vision' this week?
And on STV Central, when you fade the end music to make an announcememnt, why is the continuity announcer turned down as well? Is someone fading the master fader, instead of the programme feed? Get a grip! |

Get a grip! Regarding High Road (fair enough I have don't have channel) is the reason behind it to put it in original format? "fatty vision" than 4:3 with lines down it? I notice though the picture difference could be the TV or setup box? ie watch a programme onn Drama (Birds Of A Feather) on my virgin box its on original format (stretched) but as I made my own TV adjustment I get lines down it instead - just a suggestion but I guess this is an issue at STV |

My little pet hate is the slight judder in sound that occurs when they bring the coming next graphic onto the screen at the end of a network programme.
It's gone on for years, you'd think someone could fix it. |

Sometimes its loud from Aberdeen then goes quiet for Dundee or in most cases its the opposite (its easily spotted if you have a surround sound system)
It's well worth it though - what's not to like about Louise Cowie ! |

Doesn't need a surround system to notice it. Even on the wee Samsung TV in our kitchen, the sound on the Dundee opt-out of STV News @ 6 is a LOT LOUDER than the rest of the programme.
It's well worth it though - what's not to like about Louise Cowie ! You do notice it, I notice it when even if its Dundee news its starts loud then quietens down surpised it still happens (it's going to be laughable when STV2 launches) So I guess at Grampian/STV North no one knows how to control volume let alone the Dundee counterpart (keep volume the same) ![]() Its laughable though if they are simulcasting a report ... here is ... ask same questions and its "back to you in the studio" (oh we know - pretty sure during the live simulcast of reports it'll be John McKay by default answering the questions whilst the others are shut off)
