Mince pies and Christmas cake.
er... Christmas cards

Christmas songs
Christmas movies
decorations
Christmas wrapping paper
Christmas postage stamps
Carol Singers

can't think what else
Those sticky dates that come in an oblong box with rounded ends and you eat with a plastic spear.
All of this and a sinking feeling for weeks while longing for Boxing Day.

Twiglets. It's about the only time that it's easy to find them in Eel-sized portions.

I am Just wondering what are the things you only have at Christmas but don't the rest of year

Mine has to be a jar of Red Cabbage or Dundee Cake
I have my Dundee cake at New Year along with traditional steak pie and yes made with link sausages. Talking of which my lovely daughter-in-law brought me some square sausage last week, her local Waitrose stocks it. Can't ever find butteries though, then again I hardly ever found them outside of Aberdeenshire.

I digress, I only have mince pies, iced fruit cake and port at Christmas. I could add Christmas pudding but we buy a few of those which we have up to Easter.

Port and lemonade
Christmas pud (must keep Mum happy - detest the stuff)
Patience with sister-in-law (witch!!)
Port and Lemonade Mixed? I was given a sample of port from M & S and to be honest I don't remember ever trying port before but it was very nice and proceeded to buy a bottle at half price for £8. It won't last until after Christmas so I guess I am going to have to buy a few more bottles before the offer ends at the end of the month. I'm not sure about adding lemonade though.

Mince pies. They don't sell them here so I make them myself since I love em.
If you have a Cost Plus World Market in your vicinity they usually have a Christmas from around the World section. Purchased several packets of Walker's the other week

So have we and we don't even know if our daughter-in-law's mother likes port but it was so good we would gladly swap it for something else and keep it.

The decanter it came in caught my eye, the offer made it a bargin.

Christmas cushions on the sofa & a Christmas draught excluder behind the front door, even though I don't use a draught excluder at any other time of the year!

Virtually no public transport at all, so you are stuck at home or only nearby, if you haven't got a car and are not prepared to pay the extortionate taxi fares.

I love port and lemonade. Its a long fruity drink. I generally have port and lemonade if I have a drink during the day, whereas I drink it neat at night.

Usually some random illness. . Every year I'm absolutely fine until Christmas arrives and something happens. This year it's an ear infection, last year it was a bad cold. Think I'm allergic to it.
