When Ashley had his camcorder running when Emma came round to offer support, laurel put it away in a cupboard. Is it possible this is to be recovered after Ashley passes away? Will it open everything up again? Or has Emma got away with if?

When Ashley dies Laurel will probably watch it by mistake thinking it's the video Ashley had made.

Ross shot Robert - got away with it.
Robert pushed Katie to her death - got away with it.
Ross has robbed several people, some of which ended up in hiospital - got away with it.

I could go on.

All true except rob didn't push Katie to her death. She fell through the floorboards which he couldn't have known would happen.

You are correct. It was a terrible, terrible accident. If only Katie had minded her own business and not been so determined to blackmail and bully poor Robert, she wouldn't have been there in the first place.

There would have been no point in showing that that scene had been recorded if it wasn't going to be revealed eventually.

And Emma pushed James away from her and he fell over a 5 ft high railing which she couldn't have known would happen.

A bit different. Emma was on a bridge and while she may not have meant to push him off, there was always a chance. Robert had no way of knowing him throwing her into that room would make her fall through the floor. Only intended to keep her there while he got married.

It's a "Chekhov's Gun" thing - of course it will surface in due time. Things like that are always there for a reason.

Yes you would think so.

The question is 'When?' Maybe once Ashley dies they'll look through it for footage of him in happier times? I missed a few episodes from around that time so can't remember what they were doing with the camcorder.

Your right, he didn't push her. He threw her backwards, the impact of which caused the very insecure unsafe floor to give way beneath her. Even if he didn't mean her to go through the floor, he did intend to harm her and what kind of bloke throws a woman whose smaller and weaker than him to the ground anyway? Cowardly git.

Why did he leave her? Why didn't he call for an ambulance which any decent person would have done? He just wanted to save his own skin.

In other words Emma isn't the only person in ED who's getting away with criminal acts.

James tried to grab her and she pushed him away from her - there was actually zero possibility of him falling over a 5 ft high railing which was almost shoulder height for James.

However, for the sake of argument, lets look to the moments after these incidents occurred.
Emma immediatley tried to grab James to stop him going over the railings and was horrified by what she had done, to the point of almost confessing in the tribunal thing.
Robert did nothing, except coldly proclaim that it was all Katie's fault and then got Aaron to cover it up.

Who is the sociopath?

I'm only half hoping it's found it could mean end of the rather marvellous Emma who is one of the best characters in Emmy at the moment, so complex and potentially dangerous.

Im not saying he's a saint. Once he realised Katie was dead self preservation kicked in and he did exactly what emma is doing now. it wasn't right but just he didn't intend to kill her.

Emma sat on top of the bridge shaking with shock with what had happened. Robert stayed chillingly calm and collected then got Aaron to carefully clear away any trace of them! I know which of the two would be the reaction of most normal people!

Are you saying rob physically didn't push Katie? That's incorrect

Whether the intent was deliberate or not is up for debate but not the actual shove.

Are we going from ' whose worse out of Cain/ Dross/ Robert' to ' whose worse out of Emma/ Robert???>:

Are we talking original Robert, psycho Robert, or 'nu improved, redeemed by true love Robert'
