SKY Q Remote record never works!

Hi, was wondering if anyone else suffers from failed Sky Remote records being set?
We are going away for a few weeks and need to have the ability to send remote recordings to my Sky Q Box, from other side of the world! It works when remote select recordings from iPad and iPhone app when connected to the same network.
Any ideas as when try from outside the home, app says all sent ok, at home when check the box... no sign?

Which app are you using, Sky+ or SkyQ app?

Both should work, generally use the Sky+ app (out of habit as been using it for yeas with my Sky+HD box), but it always works, and sets up the recording on my SkyQ box.

Maybe you should try the other app, if you are only using the 1, see if that helps (in the short term for your holiday, until you can find the problem).

Cheers for the prompt reply, actually using both App's and have just tried to remote record again and will check at home later, never had any issue with my Sky+HD box but ever since moved to Sky Q... problems.

Can you check https://mysky.sky.com/mysky/settings/remote-record and make sure it has the right viewing card number listed?

Checked card number and they both match?
Stumped?
Ones I did earlier via iPhone and iPad via sky's apps not worked!

It must be something to do with being on the same network as when at home and use same app it works fine!

Problem resolved I think, although the Sky + app said it was working it wasn't picking up the sky Q box did a reset and ensured box ticked hey presto all funky now. Cheers
