Leftover Turkey
Any simple ideas on what to do with leftover Christmas turkey. I've thought of a curry, and sandwiches.

If it's such a crap meat then why not buy something that you actually like? I don't understand why people feel that they have to buy turkey at Christmas then they don't eat it for the rest of the year.
There's nothing good about Turkey which is why you will not see it on 99% of restaurant menus apart from at Xmas. |

I love, love, love turkey. Cooking in an oven bag it comes out really moist. We like leftovers. In fact, this year I bought two crowns so we can have one mid January too.
We like turkey sarnies to be fair, but I also love bubble and squeak with turkey. Yummy. We also have a lot of ploughman's type meals with turkey, ham, salad, pickles and french stick. |

I like open-faced hot turkey sandwiches with gravy and mashed potatoes.
Pinterest has tons of recipes for leftover turkey. |

I've made this for the last few years but I've added chunks of the gammon so it's turkey, ham and leek pie.
I've never bothered with the chestnuts but the pie and the gravy have been wonderful. http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/t...weet-leek-pie/ |

Because my parents and in laws would freak out if I bought something nice.
There's nothing good about Turkey which is why you will not see it on 99% of restaurant menus apart from at Xmas. I buy turkey, beef & lamb. Something for everyone. I love turkey, I have one at Easter too, though I don't eat it all week. The pets soon demolish the leftovers ![]() We buy the largest turkey but only eat the breasts. Pets have the brown meat/legs |

It's always been a must in my house. Warm baguette, lashings of butter and turkey broth. All the faff of Christmas is worth it, just for that.
![]() I'm a rissole addict as well though

Indeed you can't let that go to waste. If you are bored of broth in its own right it makes wonderful risotto.
![]() That is an excellent idea though!! |
