Saving emails on iPad Air 2 IOS 10
I would like to transfer all my email accounts to my iPad as my desktop computer is on its last legs. I have already transferred two of them. However, I now realise I have no option to save any incoming emails. I gather there used to be an option of opening new folders, but this no longer exists. How can I resolve this please? Thank you.

Open mail, top left above the mail boxes click Edit, bottom of column is option to add new mailbox. Name it accordingly. Open the email, second from left at top is a folder icon, tap the icon and it instructs you to tap on the mailbox where you want it moved to, its now saved in that mailbox until you decide to delete it.

Also a tiny bit confusing Apple calling it a "mailbox" rather than a folder. I tend to associate "mailbox" with an entire collection of folders containing mail from a particular account rather than just a single folder within that collection. |

Sorry I should have been more specific. Following instructions it said you could go to mail account you want to add a new folder, click on that account and then click on edit. At the bottom should be options. There is no option to open "new mailbox" which I understand is how you add folders as I assume they will be deleted as a matter of course. I just want to save certain of my emails in certain folders. I hope that is clearer.

You need to be in the Mailboxes screen for the account you are wanting to add a folder to. Looks a bit like the section on the left edge of this image
http://core0.staticworld.net/images/...1055-large.png If you tap "Edit" at the top right of the section you should then get "New Mailbox" appear at the bottom right. Tap that and you get the option to create the new mailbox folder. |

Thank you I will try that, updating latest software at the moment just in case it helps. (I doubt it).

Saving emails on Ipad
Thank you for your replies. I spoke to Apple Support, who were very helpful and phoned me back once I had finished updating software on my ipad. (interestingly the man I spoke to at Apple support was in Greece!).
The solution was quite simple, I can only get new folders for Hotmail (they told me how to do it) but Orange and Wanadoo do not allow you to create new folders unless you download their own Orange Mail app. Not a complete solution for me, as I currently live in France and would prefer to download Orange mail in English, but their app here is only in French (of course). So now I need to investigate if I can download Orange mail in English some how. Thank you everyone. |

Perhaps you can create the folder that way which may then be reflected in the standard iOS mail app. |
