I think you'll find that it's Sandringham, she spends the summer at Balmoral and Sandringham at Christmas. Whichever way she isn't too unwell and is still carrying out some engagements.

Both HM The Queen and Prince Philip have heavy colds and have not travelled to Sandringham as usual this Christmas.

Get well soon Ma'am.

Aw hope they both get better

They are older now and a cold can be bloody lethal

well apparently, that's what some older people have said. Maybe one day I'll know!

It's going to be such an enormous event when she dies. Blanket coverage for days, all the major TV channels will stop normal programming. Everyone will feel it, whether you're a monarchist or republican. I don't think it's her time just yet, they seem a hardy bunch.

I did wonder that myself. Unlikely, but possible.

No point her carking it now - lots of people are already on holiday.

She needs to go somewhere between may spring bank holiday and the august one.

Very unlikely I'd say, the queen never gave into the ira threats I can't imagine she would give in now either.

It could indeed. Change the travel and location arrangements and information at short notice to confuse the enemy. Classic protection tactics. And if she really is staying at Buck Pal it would explain the extra security and road closures around the palace. Or that may simply be deflection tactics, who knows, but I like it!
