Maybe she is. Maybe she is getting special treatment at home. The palace never realised full details in these cases. Anyway. What is a heavy cold? A cold lasts afew days at most and someone getting the treatment she would get would not be housebound for 10 days due to a cold. If it's, a chest infection, pneumonia, sinus infection or whatever then just tell the public, but don't dumb it down and try and sugar coat it by saying she has had a cold for nearly 2 weeks. It's that kind of twee, pretending everything is fine mentality that annoys people.
You can have a terrible chest and sinus problem without it being an infection as such and therefore its just a cold. If your head is thumping, you cant eat because your throat is sore, you havent been sleeping because your breathing is all up the creek, you are too ill to work.

Im not sure why people are not getting it.

Diana was The Princess of Wales whilst she was married and Diana, Princess of Wales after she divorced - to formally distinquish her from Camilla who was properly entitled to be called The PoW, even though she didn't use the title. And she was always referred to as Princess Diana informally.
Or even Princess Di by certain rags.......

Dearie me...

It's a bit disgusting how some people on here are desperate for her to go. They might not be explicitly saying it, but you can tell by the tone of their posts.

I agree she's 90 and has a cold, but some do seem to be either wanting to know about every sniffle or wishing her gone.

She's a ninety year old woman, anyone with elderly relatives will know that she won't recover as quickly as a younger person, she probably has the horrible cough that lingers on after a cold, and is vulnerable to chest infections, and any other viruses she could pick up from other people. I doubt that she us enjoying being grounded until she is fully recovered.

I totally agree you can tell there is almost an air of excitement about it all, possibly because people want to see how it all plays out as it's a kind of once in a lifetime thing, but this is a persons life were talking about

And I'm not sure why people are pretending it's still just a cold. I'm sorry but I've never know "just a cold" to keep someone down for 12 days and that's only since she didn't go on the train journey, so it must have been with her for a few days previous to that. If she has had "just a cold" for over two weeks now when most people, even in their 90s can shake it off in about a week at most, then there is something else wrong that is affecting her ability to heal from "just a cold". She has been kept indoors and is resting, presumably she is on all kinds of cold medication and has been for some days now, she has the perfect healing environment for much longer than is needed...but isn't healing. That's not right. It's not "just a cold"

I don't really care for rolling news about every sneeze as some people put it, but it's the lies and secrecy surrounding it all that's stupid. If they can't pluck up the courage to tell the nation she is more than just a little bit poorly then what the hell is going to happen when she does die?

It could just be by now a bad cough, they can linger and we won't be seeing the dignified lady that she is hacking and coughing, she just won't allow herself to be seen that way.
Yes, it could simply be that. They mightn't want her to be seen coughing and barking in public with a red runny nose and a handkerchief up to her face all the time.

She would be in the QE Sandringham hospital if it was something more serious. Like she was in 2003 when she damaged her knee. It was big news around here that the Queen had to go to the local hospital for treatment. The same would apply today if she was seriously ill and the local press would know about it. Let alone the national press.

Don't the Windsors use alternative/herbal medicines?
This demonstrates how ineffective such treatment is

Yes absolutely one less evil parasite leaching off the state and lording it over us whilst the serfs are forced through the austerity program.

The French had the right idea over 200 years ago. Let's have a head of state we can actually choose.

You might want to have a read up on the crown estate and the monarchy in general, you will be suprised to learn that your comments are no where near being factually correct.

In fact read up completely on history and taxes in general.

Personally I would only refer to benefits claimants who pretend to be ill or pop out kids willy nilly, whilst pretending to be single as evil parasites leeching off the state. The queen well past retirement ages works much harder than most folk

She's always had the option to abdicate / step down.
