A (criminal) conspiracy among everyone involved in declaring and registering her death? Don't be silly.
Perhaps they are just waiting for Wills & Kate Middleton to get back from their latest holiday before announcing it? ![]()

She probably has problems with her waterworks and that's why we're not seeing her up and about with the public. That would be my guess, and they just aren't mentioning it out of politeness or because she asked them not to. What are you gonna do, disobey the Queen?

You presume unwisely there. I know that a different regnal name is an option and there is precedent for such a decision. That it has been done before does not preclude the queen from feeling hurt at her and her husband's choice of name not being taken forward as King.

According to today's Mail she has a "persistent hacking cough"
As her father died from lung cancer this must be causing concern |

But her father's demise from lung cancer was more due to him being a very heavy smoker and her sister Princess Margaret smoked up to 60 a day. A have never heard that the Queen ever smoked. I know a number or people that have developed a hacking cough this winter apparently it is very common I had it myself a few weeks back.

Anyone who has worked in health or social care will point you to people who died from lung cancer but who never smoked, and heavy smokers who lived into a good old age. Those who died will have had a relative who also died from cancer which is the main reason a lot of women are having their breasts removed |

Certainly not the condition to be in when attending ceremonies or church services, you have no control over it. Its nothing to do with cancer and her father smoked if I understand it. |

I dont read the papers or have a TV and I know that many women have had their breasts removed in case of breast cancer.
Although there is a significant link between smoking and a number of cancers, the reason why some women opt for elective pre-emptive mastectomy, is because of a known genetic pre-disposition. Making blanket comments like the one to which I responded is incredibly misleading. |

The poster who posted that was talking about the relationship between smoking and lung cancer.... but - with no linking statement whatsoever - then goes on to say that "Those who died will have had a relative who also died from cancer which is the main reason a lot of women are having their breasts removed"... as if this was a generalised statement to cover all individuals who develop any form of cancer.

Ahh Right . I see what you mean. My mind put the missing words into the post. They had skipped from lung cancer to breast cancer and said about women having the breasts taken off. Both my mum and my sister spoke like that poster posts ( way to fast for their mouths to keep up with their brain) I had to fill in the missing parts and do it now without even realising it

As her father died from lung cancer this must be causing concern By the way, although it is true to say that George VI had lung cancer, and actually had a lung removed in September 1951 when a malignant tumour was discovered, he actually died from a coronary thrombosis. Although I think it's reasonable to conclude that if he'd never smoked, he would probably have lived a lot longer. |

She's an elderly woman and is therefore more vulnerable, she's doing all the right things on advice from her doctor. Pneumonia has to be a concern at her age so I'm not surprised at her non appearances. |

If you watch the excellent series The Crown, she is just about the only person who isn't constantly smoking. To be a non-smoker in the 1950s was quite unusual.
