I think HM has her own train? Is it still in use?
She usually gets the 10.44 from King's Cross to King's Lynn (First Class), then driven to Sandringham. |

The Royal Train is still used, but only sparingly and on occasions where service trains would be impractical, e.g. where a change would be required.

No. You are missing the point. Her funeral would not be held at Christmas. A suitable date would be chosen to give time for all preparations.

Get well soon Mrs Queen and Pip the Greek. Please don't do anything before boxing day as I've waited a year for a new Doctor Who episode and don't want to have to wait another month!
Seriously though I quite like them, especially Philip as he's always good for a laugh. |

Not sure why this should stop them travelling.
Let's face it - they won't exactly have to schlep down to the train station and struggle through the crowds and stand from Liverpool Street all the way to Norfolk. They would be vitually wrapped in warm cotton wool the entire journey from door to door with people to do everything for them. Don't get me wrong. I have the highest regard for The Queen and The DoE. I am surprised ( going by what I have heard on the news ) that their travel schedule is quite so widely known in advance that an announcement had to be made because they missed a specific train. When someone is that old and feeling unwell they cannot simply just wrap up and hope for the best |

I really believe if they could they would, afterall they're made of strong stuff - On the Diamond Jubilee, Prince Philip was determined to not give in to a bladder infection and stood in the freezing rain and cold on an open boat on the Thames for four hours. Hospitalised the next day for a few days, but home for his 91st! There are some hideous coldy things doing the rounds and it's not unusual for couples to both get it! I hope they're okay and feel recovered enough to enjoy Christmas.

Get well soon, Ma'am.
Hope you have enough dog food in for the corgis. Thank you. We can always feed one of the flunkeys to the corgis. We seem to have plenty of them. |

I watched The Crown and I'm 100% sure she's having surgery in a ballroom.

I think it's terrible that due to the M-people, the Queen always has to wear a headscarf when in public !

I think there is more to this but not for the reasons people might suspect.
Since Berlin most of London has gone on high alert with a lot of roads closed off. It makes me wonder if they got wind of a planned attack on her life and this whole thing is a cover up to avoid public hysteria. To add to this theory there is way more security around Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle than usual. The timing of her changing plans at the last minute makes it look suspicious. |

Just heard about this.
Initally, I thought about some possible terror risk. However, HM The Queen will not put off anything because of possible threats. HM Prince Philip, 100% would not stop him I fear that HM Prince Philip is very unwell and HM is saying behind to look after him and not worry her sbject. I wish them both a speedy recovery!!!! God save the Queen!!!!

I am no fan of the Royals, but I think its best for the sake of all of us, we dont end 201 6 with the death of the Queen, Royal types will be devastated, whilst the rest of us will have to suffer the coverage of it. 2016 does not need it, save it for 2017.

Nobody cares The Queen has done a superb job over the years and has never failed us. It will be a very sad day when she is no longer our Queen. |

They have the Buckingham Palace dinner because all of the family don't gather at Sandringham for Christmas.
"All the family don't gather....." There are enough of them at Sandringham, if there are more just shows how many we are supporting You're still going with the Mail's lies? But don't let any of that interfere with your Mail hatred |

Why could they not go by car, they have every kind of luxury car at their disposal and it's not that far from London to Sandringham - especially with a police escort. Or even the helicopter There is something very odd here, I expect the Mail will have the inside story |
