Just wondering if UKIP has repaid the £150k it spent illegally. I think the deadline was today (21st Dec).

Last I heard their donations had dropped dramatically and they're now raking in even less than the BNP. Wouldn't be surprised if they struggle to make the repayments.

Just wondering how www.politico.eu is funded. Have you seen their staff list?

Haven't a clue, but 10/10 for deflection.

Its always best to know something about the sources you're quoting.

My guess is that any one or two together of the many people employed by this eu public relations organisation cost more per annum than the £150k demanded from UKIP.

Just to put things into proportion.

Until now I had never heard of www.politico.eu.

That's the usual excuse shoplifters and petty crooks give.
Oh it's only a tiny drop in the ocean that I stole
But in kipper world the law doesn't apply to them, just everyone else.

Why do you think it is an EU public relations organisation? Did it say something you don't agree with?

As people don't like the source I gave originally, here's one from a nice right wing organisation, or are you going to tell me Uncle Rupert is a commie pinko Europe loving softy?

Well to answer your original question I do not know what the current situation is regarding the fine. Funny how you chase up UKIP's fine but did not do the same when Labour and the Lib Dems were fined for election irregularities.

However, I digress so back to UKIP. I did hear at the time that they were going to appeal but then I also heard that the fine could not be appealed - that sounds about right for the EU! Still looking at the site in your original post it seems there are procedures to deduct the money from MEPs salary and expenses if they don't pay the fine and I see there are threats along this line regarding another (?) UKIP fine. This is also proposed for Marine Le Pen for a fine she has incurred and there is precedence here as this is what happened to her father in times gone by

OK not a full answer but it may tide you over for a while.
